  • I like Lesley's figure.

  • @Ariamaluum As Mae West once said, "Every man I meet wants to protect me. I can't figure out what from."

  • I loved 'ole Nancy and her no ---nonsense approach. She was one of the only players that could handle nice killer teen Chris Evert on clay

  • @BeemerryNYC. As Darryl Dawkins would say about himself, he had the "gift of butt."

  • whoevers posting these got any matches with the europeans on tour like barker jausovec fromholtz ruzici?

  • @markwelly fromholtz was an australian not european

  • please post some Chris Evert

  • interesting comments in the info. section...facts that I would have otherwise never been aware of...thanx.

additionally, I was wondering which years the Open was played on the har-tru clay....

    was it only '76 and '77 ?

    (just curious).

  • 1975 was the first year the U.S. Open was played on the har-tru clay court and also the first U.S. Open to have night matches which are now a big part of the U.S. Open. The event moved to Flushing Meadows in 1978.

  • thanx for the info.

i think it would be cool if the US Open was played on grass !

    (like it was originally).

    will never happen, though.....

would cost too much to make the switch !

    unless....they moved the event again...

    which will never happen, either.
