  • Thanks Rita. I usually sing the song in Spanish. But the words in Spanish are totally different. I am glad you liked the video. Where have you been on skype?

  • @Blogrich55

MAKE MORE VIDEOs. MAYBE YOU CAN DEBATE the WORLD.

    127 videos

  • @2222pauline "MAKE MORE VIDEOs. MAYBE YOU CAN DEBATE the WORLD.127 videos"

Yep! Take the whole world but give me Jesus-- the REAL Jesus found on the pages of Holy Writ. It is my privilege and duty to serve the King of Kings and my humble videos are my feeble attempt. Keep watching!

  • I have never read "The Gospel According to Jesus"...mom has that book though. I don't think she's finished with it yet. About the only thing I know of that book is Steve Camp songs inspired by it. lol

That said, I'm slightly confused...if faith without works is dead, how is it faith at all? I know that our works are nothing but filthy rags, but still yet faith produces good works...and aren't you suppose to take up your cross and follow Jesus?

  • Are not works not the cause for our salvation but the product? A little fruit is better than no fruit and some Christians are immature and we are not the judge of someone else's Salvation, but what if 50 years later a person fruit has not grown at all, is that not cause for them to examine themselves?

  • Because to some Jesus will say He never knew them and not everyone who says they are saved are. So if you're sinning without conviction that should probably be alarming. But then again, striving to perfection to the point of puffing up your own righteosness to the point of legalism is also wrong.

I'm not saying you agree/disagree with any of that. Just my rambled thoughts. Because I'm apparently not grasping this. lol I'm probably even off topic. Sorry. heh.

  • You know I love and respect you Rich, I'm just not grasping this. I don't even know what Lordship Salvation is TO understand it I guess...but I do know that if Jesus is not your Lord, He is not your Savior. So I don't know if I agree or disagree with you here because I'm confused by what is probably a simple concept....lol I probably should have messaged you that privately just because I probably just made an idiot of myself publicly. lol But you lost me with this video. :p

  • Will pm you later about all this. Also, I am going to make a video going into the excesses of Lordhip Salvation and it's dangers. Of course we should strive to be holy. Yet when you see the video, you will see the problem. You have honest questions and no friend I love as much as you, Liz, or your mom could ever be an idiot in my eyes. God bless you little sister:)

  • Thanks. Maybe if you took it the whole thing a bit TOO far it would get way out of hand. I don't know. I just know you confused the heck out of me. :p Which...isn't hard to do...so...yeah.

So thanks! love ya too and God bless Rich!

  • I will give you a brief preview of the video Eden:

The problem is a misunderstanding oof James first of all. Our works show OTHERS we have faith. They were NEVER meant to show us we have faith or be the source of our assurance. They fluctuate. Sometimes we abound and at other times we are barren.

Our assurance comes from Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is the one who is to be the focus of our faith and NOT our fumbling attempts at obedience. Our righteousness is as rags.

  • Thanks Rich.

I don't disagree with a word of that. I am starting to think I'm going to have to go read "The Gospel According to Jesus" to see where you are coming from. :p

Thanks for the PM, I'm gonna go answer it. :)

  • Blogrich55, you keep making statements here that Im rejecting Jesus. Where are you getting this from? Jesus is my LORD and Savior, not Paul.

  • i merely pointed out the function and importance of Paul and his explanation of the sacrifice of Messiah for His people. Whoever has claimed Paul as their savior? Paul wrote 2/3 of the New Testament. You have no grounds for rejecting Christ's words as spoken through His servant Paul.

  • Ill answer your question on the Trinity but you'll have to answer mine too. Do you reject the Holy Torah of TAHWEH?

  • I think you mean YAHWEH and I don't reject His word but you seem to pick and choose to suit yourself. The Torah is NOT the totality of God's word.

  • Please sir, I have a vision imparement so don't criticuze spelling. Thats a cheap shot. You know very well I meant YAHWEH. What a crummy shot. And unlike christianity I do not pick and choose scripture as if it were a smorgasboard. I believe in the totality of the hebrew scriptures and in the gospels attesting to that. You know what? Don't even contact me no more. You have proven your measure as a man with your cheap shot. I was wounded in combat serving my country so my vision is not good.

  • I beleieve every single word from the TORAH. I do not believe the Hebrew scriptures are in error and that they are infallible. I can never believe that the Word of my Creator is invalid and "old" To call them "old" is a lie from Gehenna. To say that YAH changed His mind when scripture clearly states that He does not is blasphemy. The Torah is Eternal Deuteronomy says that we are to practice it FOREVER. What am I to do? Be disobedient to it? Please give me an answer with no namecalling

  • So am I to understand that you reject the New Testament and don't believe in the doctrine of the Holy Trinity?

  • Understand what you want sir. At this point in my life I accept the Gospels and Yeshua as the Mesiah of Israel and the world. I have not read where Yeshua came to destroy the Torah but instead uphold it . I'm not understanding Paul but I will dissect his writings more and more so I can "get it". At this moment he confuses the heck outta me as he seems to contradict everything that Yeshua says. My only other observation is that I see the church lifting up Paul more than Yeshua. That's strange.

  • BTY, it is sadly obvious to me that you do not understand Paul. You know the Torah. You know how the animals were sacrificed to pay for the sins of the people. Not all the people in the world but just the Jews. Now Jesus is the spotless lamb of God. He kept every commandment of the Torah perfectly. His obedience is credited to the believing sinner's account and God declares him righteous. Paul's writing explain the coordination between the OT and the NT. As any rabbi, Paul explains the Torah.

  • See my PM I believe your statement to be

100% true except for the last two sentences In some statements he seems in agreement to the Torah then suprisingly he turns around in another letter and shoots down the Torah. A little truth mixed in with heresy. It seems as though he was always changed his tone according to whoever he was addressing. What does that tell you? I got the full coordination between the Torah and Yeshua the moment I received the Gospels in my heart. Hope you get my PM

  • Hey Logical Calvinist, do you want some great bedtime reading? Check out Martin Luther's writings on the Jew. This fella sure had some "Agape" for my tribe. What a wonderful human being huh? He sure was one to put on a pedestal wasn't he? Its so sad that most of the Christian worlds stubborn refusal to understand Torah Judaism from it's roots results in so much murderuos hatred and done in the name of Jesus too. Guess what? Jesus was never called Jesus when He walked this earth. It's Yeshua

  • Guess what else, Jesus is not called Jesus in every language of the world either. We speak English here for the most part. deal with it.

  • Nicely done! Great Scripture references A+

  • God bless you sister Tania:)

  • Very nice brother Rich! :-)

  • Thank you and God bless.

  • We are set free from the curse we bring on *ourselves* by breaking God's Law.... NOT from the Law itself! God is the same ALWAYS, and even King David recognized the blessings inherent in obedience! If there were no Law, the result would be that there would be no sin. Why do we need a savior, if not to save us from the penalty for breaking God's Law?

We're instructed to follow God's commandments, (Do the will of the Father), but our salvation is through Christ alone!

  • Jesus answered and said unto them, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him who He hath sent." John 6:29

  • I am honestly not trying to start something, but doesn't believing mean more than acknowledging Christ's authority? What is sin but the breaking of God's law?

Folks invent legalistic interpretations of God's instructions for our lives - this is not the same as wanting God's input on the "how" of things!

    Psalm 119 --> 144 "Your statutes are forever right;

give me understanding that I may live."

2nd Timothy referred to Torah alone - there was no NT back then. Torah instructs; but grace saves!

  • The fact that faith is belief does not imply it is limited in its content. Saving faith believes in the gospel of Jesus Christ and also the proposition that Christ is willing to save me.

No one denies a life of holiness is the goal of all true believers in Christ. Yet faith does NOT include obedience as one of its elements. Sanctification does NOT complete our salvation. Our justification is not dependent upon our sanctification either.

The law condemns us. Christ kept it for us by faith.

  • Where do you get your definition of what Lordship Salvation teaches from your description?

  • From Dr. John MacCarthur's book THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JESUS and a host of videos by Paul Washer among other places.

  • Any quotes from those sources that say we are perfected by the flesh, or by works?

  • There are tons. I have been through this before with other writers such as Van Til. Once the quote is produced, I am then accused of taking them out of context. Unfortunately, this happens all the time.

I am preparing a video that does quote from both of them. I am also preparing for the hatemail responses. God bless you.

  • Excellent video, great song, Glory to God alone.

  • God bless you! Soli Deo Gloria!

  • Excellent!

  • Praise God for His free gift of salvation! God bless you.

  • You pick the most perfect songs. Awsome bro!

  • Thanks bro! Thank God He has set us free by His amazing and undeserved grace. God bless you.

  • Set free from the "Law"? That nasty burdensome Torah?? Oh my God! How burdensome! Do you even have an inkling as too what the Torah is or a concept of anything Hebrew? Your Messiah Yeshua spoke Hebrew/Aranmaic not latin like the pagan Romans. He is the Living Torah. Grace is all through the Torah counter to church teachings. Yeshua is my Savior and He set me free from sin and not Torah. The teaching that Gods instruction is a burden is a pagan lie from the pit of Sheoul. Yeshua is Torah

  • The verses quoted may seem on the surface to support the notion that Paul was against obeying the law, but could it be that it's not that simple? In a remarkable statement in the NT, that Peter wrote to Paul about Paul's letters:

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 2 Petter 3:16

  • (4 of 4)

Paul himself said that he delighted in the law in his inner being-(in his mind, he was a slave to it, in other words--Christians now live out the righteous requirements of the law. Paul even said that becoming righteous through the Messiah was the goal to which the law pointed to. And this is what the majority of the top scholars understand Romans 10:4

  • Very good response but once again I feel I'm being misunderstood. My salvation and righteousness comes from the work of Yeshua and olnly His work but it does not nullify the TORAH. Why does everyone keepmaking that statement? In Christ is my Salvation but I am saying that keeping TORAH is what Yeshua commanded us to do. It is a guide to walking in Holiness and being set apart from the heathen world. . The Shabbat is a Holy set apart day commanded by YAH. Why is that so repulsive to church folk?

  • Thats just it Droplets. They don't "live out" the righteous requirements of the Torah. They reject Shabbat,Kashrut,Bris Milah and every ordinance Commanded by YAH and instead hold to pagan holidays. I don't get it. Why do they refuse to Praise YAH's 7th day ?. Is it a burden to rest and set apart the 7th day as Yahweh Commanded? I thought the church was grafted into the tree and are inheritors of the commonwealth. My word! you put trees in your house! Jeremiah the prophet railed against that

  • 1# I'm sorry if I misunderstood you or that you feel that we are browbeating you on some issues. When you brought up James first hand in this Lordship Salvation video and then spoke of Paul in an unkind manner--it took me by surprise And when someone is saying things we feel would be detrimental to their salvation, we kind of want to all rush in and correct the issue! Please don't get frustrated with what I say or take it as a personal attack. I write what I write only with deep concern for you

  • 2# While I'm sure those are great topics worthy of more discussion, however, I do not wish to the get the discussion off focused with the content of Blog's video (is something in the vid you don't agree with? I'm not sure where you stand, do hold to Lordship Salvation? Do not believe the writings of Paul the Apostle are inspired? ) If you wish to discuss more about Christmas trees, circumcision and anti-semitism you're more than free to e-mail me about such topics. Cont>

  • 3# But right now I think we should keep the comments focused on Lordship Salvation.

  • Thank you Droplets77. You are a true gentleman and I look forward to discussing these issues with you. I have a lot of issues with some NT writings but I do believe the Gospels and that Yeshua is the Messiah. I base everything on the Torah and Prophets. Anything counter to that is false teaching in my mind and heart. I don't believe that Jesus did anything against Torah but I will not accept Paul yet just becasue the council of Nicea decided to put his letters into canon

  • I wouldn't ask you to accept them on those circumstances (1) These aren't just some obscure writings from someone that didn't have any contact with the other apostles or were written way beyond the lifespan of Jesus and his apostles. Note that, if Paul's claim to be an apostle was not true, he would have been a false apostle, a false prophet, a liar. But Paul's claim to be inspired and a faithful teacher was confirmed by many other inspired men: You can also read a detailed conversion (Cont..)>

  • ..of Paul in the Book of Acts which was written by Luke. Luke records in Acts 9:15 - 26:16; 22:14,15 - that Jesus Himself endorsed Paul as a chosen vessel to preach His name (2) It is clear that the apostles Peter and John recognized Pauls epistles as being a part of the sacred writings. So much so that Peter thought it necessary to inform his readers (especially newly struggling Jewish believers) that Pauls letters are indeed as inspired as other Scriptures (2 Peter 3:1516 Cont..>

  • Peter remarked that if you don't understand Pauls writings you will also distort and wrestle with other Scriptures. Because Paul made numerous citations and direct allusions from the OT -- mainly to explain theology and who the Messiah is through the Hebrew Scriptures.

  • Droplets is a beloved sister in the Lord.

  • Oh! and preterism(the erroneous teaching that the church has replaced Israel) has been the igniting force behind centuries of innocent bloodshed of jews worldwide. I am one jew who will never follow preterism, calvanism, five points or any of this greco roman european doctrines but instead I choose to be obedient to YAHWEH and follow His son Yeshua who is the Living Torah and He never changes His mind or changes His Holy covenant. Christians should realize that they are are grafted into the vine

  • Tony, preterism does not teach the Church replaced Israel. That is called replacement theology. God bless.

  • Hey Vince, most of the preterest and Calvinist that I speak with seem to hold that view about Israel. A lot of them agree with replacement theology.

  • We do not believe Essau was ever one of God's covenant people or Abraham's sons. Not all Isreal were EVER Isreal. Many in OT national Israel were unsaved just as many in the visible church today are unsaved.

The Nation was God's visible institution in the OT but salvation has ALWAYS been by grace through faith. They looked forward to the cross and we look backward to the cross. The visible church is God's visible institution today.

Having said that, God's elect have always been His sheep!

  • I knew it and there it is.

  • Faith without works is dead per the book of James. Jesusu said in Matthew 5 that till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle would change from the Torah. I take my marching orders from Yeshua and not Paul. Unfortunately Paul has been a tool for the church to use afte the last 2000 years to promote anti-jewishness. Ill stick with my Savior Yeshua and all the words He said. His assault on the Pharisees was regarding their manmade laws and not Torah. Scrpture cannot go against scripture

  • Anyone who denies the writings of St Paul does not have all their spiritual dogs on one leash.

  • Ok Ill start rejecting Gods Commandments and be more like the pagan world and while I'm at it, ill take that nasty "old" testament and cut it out of my bible, it's not valid anyway and I'll start praising Paul. I'll go get a bacon sandwich and so what if G-d forbids that I eat that. I'll just tell Him that Paul supercedes Him.How do I put back my foreskin?.. Not in this lifetime pal. I think I'll do as Yeshua commands and obey His Commandments because He said thats a sign that you love Him.

  • 1 of 4) Blog isn't suggesting you tear out any part of the Word in order to make it harmonize. I think the problem is that you believe James is somehow in conflict with Paul. There is no conflict between Paul and James. James certainly taught that the works of the law could not save (James 2:10; 4:17)

And Paul taught clearly that genuine faith would produce good works (Eph 2:8-10) There is nothing contradictory. Cont>

  • (2 of 4)

.. It's just that we do not preform good works to try to obtain and merit God's favor (Titus 3:5). Even our best efforts to obtain salvation though good works are sinful. (Isaiah 64:6, Habakkuk 2;2-4. Paul only put further emphasis upon this teaching). The fact of the matter is good works are a sign that God is working in us Philippians 2:13--works in no way help merit salvation. It is all by the Grace of God.

  • BTY said:

"I take my marching orders from Yeshua and not Paul. "

This is a false dichotomy and is an attack on scripture. For when Paul speaks via the scriptures, Jesus IS speaking *through* the apostle.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16)

  • Excellent observation brother Paul! God bless you! Sola scriptura!

  • Sure LogicalCalvinist. It is a false dichotomy in your Greco Roman European teachings. I'm a jew and the teachings you adore and espouse so much came from people who'd light my people on fire at the stake for not accepting their pagan doctrines. Why don't you lift up the person of Yeshua Ha Moshiach instead of wasting your time praisng the likes of John Calvin,Luther and the rest of those "kind" souls.. I believe Luther stated tha he'd like to tear out te book of James from scripture. Too Jew

  • You are an argumentative troublemaker. Now you play the Jewish anti-semitism card. I am of Jewish descent too so big deal. You are ignorant theologically and reject Paul who was hand picked by Jesus as an apostle. Pagan doctrines? Why does it not surprise me that you consider Reformed theology pagan?

Do you believe in the Trinity? Is Jesus God? You don';t even know what preterism is but spread lies and gossip about that too.

  • Why do you resort to namecalling when someone doesn't agree with your doctrine? Ok, I won't present my difference of opinion to you anymore. You can just accept the praise of others if you want. You say your of Jewish descent ?then you should familiarize yourself with basic hebrew so you can study the text in their original form that have not been tainted by greek or european influence. You can take or leave that advice Tto namecall is not necesarry. A majority of church teaching is pagan

  • Saying a person is an argumentative troublemaker is not name calling but the stating of an opinion. Perhaps it is an erroneous judgement but is not name calling. You never said whether or not you believed in the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. This was a fairly straightforward question. What pagan doctrine do you refer to, for example? Perhaps pm me if you care to.

  • Well I know that you will shoot this down but TORAH states in Deuteronomy "Hear O Israel, YAHWEH our Elohim ,YAHWEH is One. Their is only One El. But you know what? Why bother. You don't care to hear my view so you just believe your doctrines and I'll stick to the Hebrewscriptures and the Gospels. You cannot change my mind and you can never change my jewishness, I'm a jew till I die and Ill never ever become a gentile. Ever. Sir, I cannot think like a gentile. Its not programmed into me.

  • OhmyGosh,

    How utterly beautiful.

  • Thank you, Liz, God bless you!
