i just wanted to ask Mr. Mike Tadros, whether this IDX Renditioner plugin works along with vray plugin.. just becoz i work on sketchup 8 and i have downloaded both vray and IDX plugin for it. vray works well but when i try to use IDX it asks me whether to disable another plugin.. may be some sort of compatibility issue will be there with both the plugins

What could be the possible problem in this case... appreciate if you help me in the same.. thanks... mandar

@mandarkarve certainly possible. In fact, i think I may have encountered a similar issue when exploring Vray myself, but that was a while back and I can't recall for certain. you might also want to look into Shaderlight. I've been using it for my latest renders and love it.

in fact when i installed IDX first time and reopen the application there was no vray in my SU at all.. that was a bit surprising for me..so then i installed it again.. there has to be some sort of solution for it.. have to chk ..

Are there tutorials available for downloading from go-2-school.. i wanted to explore sketch up.. i found one link on file sharing servers.. but the files were already deleted..so i m looking for another link..

@4sketchupgo2school : will do that definitely. but what i was wondering is when ppl have such kind of issue why IDX or that matter SU has not come up with the solution.. currently i am trying my hands on vray.. as i already work in vray with 3ds max.. while looking for tutorials i found your day light tutorial and found it quite interesting.. so i decided to give it a shot..but then my SU started giving me errors..

Really great tutorial, very thorough and personable. Unlike a lot of the complainers on here I think your approach is very suitable, as in you are a "school" therefore the method of teaching is going to be very hands on. I see a lot of other tutorials, too speedy, no dialogue, a lot of model making with no instructions or personality..please keep up the good work!!! thanks!!!

Hi, my version of Sketchup is 8.0.4810 and the web site of imsisoft.com only has the sketchup 6 and 7 option download ... what can i do to have te IDX Plug In, please help me! Thank you.

Have to say, after watching many various people doing SketchUp (and related app) tutorials, I feel like this guy (who for some reason remains nameless in this video) is by FAR the best of the YouTube-available SketchUp teachers. He's articulate, clear, and explains everything in a very solid and methodical fashion.

@achar89 as a student, you can obtain a non-commercial license of SketchUp Pro for $50/yr. Google the phrase "SketchUp Educational" to find the page on the SketchUp website which details the process for obtaining an educational license.
