I know that X5 was intended to be the last X game then The Zero series take off a century or two later(forgive me if I got the yrs wrong.) But they made him make more cause X series was so popular. And the Zero series story had to change a little. Even knowin all that I still say X should have been first, otherwise put in Mega Zero and still give me X. I still have my snes. I WANT X CAPCOM!

@XxHyoga87xX You got the time thing right. Actually, another interesting part was that X himself was intended to be the main antagonist of the Zero series, but after the release of X6, changes had to be made, such as Copy X being in the story..

The problem with putting X in this game is giving him a playstyle that doesn't 1): Lock down his abilities since the concept of him is to evolve indefinitely and 2): If they could implement a style, they would have to do so without making him overpowered

@kaihedgie I just had that talk with someone else, My idea was make him like rogue cause that's how he fights anyway. The big dif would be this. Instead of him being faster or stronger depend on the char he drains from, he would get some kind of special move. Megaman from 1-2 was really a close range fighter, besides his buster gun. Do the same with X just make him more advance. This is just my idea I'm sure someone else can do better.

@XxHyoga87xX Thing of it is, X only copies his opponents' strongest/best attacks. Imagine having Magnetic Shockwave, Shoulder Beam, etc all in one moveset.

The only thing people ever really used when they picked Mega Man was his Mega Buster just to build up for the Hyper Mega Man attack or Leaf Shield.

for those who want to know why mega man isnt in here and zero is

Mega Man was ruled out in favor of Zero to represent the franchise as Niitsuma felt Zero had more variation in his moves

which would make since cause zero is meant for hand to hand combat and has a buster that he often doesnt use

while mega man has a buster and some weapons from bosses

and beside the special moves from bosses and in the mega man game from any series when do you ever see mega man use hand to hand combat

You do realize Niitsuma said Mega Man X will be in the game as DLC right? He said so in his Capcom-Unity live stream. He said that if any Mega Man is going to be in, it will be X because of fan demand. He also said he is currently being worked on along with his Marvel counterpart Apocalypse.

They were actually supposed to be on disc from what I heard, but couldn't make it in time. Also, just to correct you, Niitsuma just doesn't like Classic Mega Man.
