very true, but Jujitsu and Judo was popular in the west before WW2 when Edward William Barton-Wright helped introduce Jujitsu to the UK and when Japanese immigrants settled in Hawaii.

Those marines were an absolute embarrassment. Their technique was horrible. I was in the army and I train at a gracie academy so I can say from experience that every video I've seen of U.S. military hand to hand is garbage. That goes for army and marines. None of them train it often enough to become proficient. Does anyone else find it ironic that they're demonstrating the art to the people that invented it. Typical American arrogance.
