  • Having some issue with the black brush.(erasing the image) I think I have a black brush and when I erase the image it turns white? Also, what are the specs on brush info..hardness etc. Thx!

  • Big picture question from a newbie...for the first image, how is it that you are able to erase yourself with the brush so cleanly and not erase the rest of the picture (i.e. the bench and tree behind you)?

    Love the creativity,

    The Meltdownman

  • nice vid ...... i've been subscribed :)

  • my photoshop says couldnt use color replacement tool because it only works in full color modes. what should i do?

  • @cmgoskate In the tools palette, hold and click the brush icon for several seconds until a drop down box appears, then select the Brush Tool and start over.

  • What shutter speed / f-stop do you recommend? PLEASE REPLY ASAP! :)

  • @sosvocaloid Oh, yes sir. Just look at what the shutter speed and aperture is when the camera is in automatic mode then manually punch in those same settings after switching over to manual mode.

  • @PhotoExtremist Thanks!

  • @PhotoExtremist why would u rather switch to manual mode?

  • You rock !

  • what photoshop are you using ? i am using CS4 .

  • look is the challenge still going on ?? :D

  • @gajetjoe yes - it is always ;)

  • @PhotoExtremist ok :D then ull have 100 of me !! hahaha

  • OK having a little trouble here ... I have loaded all the photos and clicked on the Layer/vector mask but when I chose a black brush it colours the person black and does not erase. I am using CS3. What have I done wrong ?

  • @Lensmeister Make sure to click the "make layer mask" button only once, if you click it twice it will make a vector mask. After you have made the normal layer mask, click on the empty white space to the right of the layer thumbnail and then try again

  • @PhotoExtremist Thanks ... I will do that :)

  • Thanks for the clear step by step directions! I was able to do it on my first try.

  • @A13918221 Haha thanks! That's cool that you knew what it was! :)

  • yeah good informative video thanks

  • rry but Im really using it. photoshop 7. maybe your not updated. here's the print screen . go to. twitpic(dot)com/56bpho

  • @dealwitheunice07 Ahh that;'s just "Photoshop 7.0", not "Photoshop CS7". Anyways, that is a very very old version of Photoshop (the newer ones have "CS" in the title). I'd update to CS3 or higher, CS5 is the newest version as of right now (6/4/2011) and is the best one available.

  • im using CS 7. there is no such word at Scripts and Load files into stacks

  • @dealwitheunice07 There's also no such thing as "CS7" yet... lol. Photoshop CS5 is the newest one.

  • YOUR TUTORIAL IS AWESOME. VERY Useful FOR BEGINNERS..

  • thanks for the sharing! ;-) will try it soon

  • what if i dont have a friend ?

  • @jacobasghar Forever Alone.....

  • @jacobasghar use the timer on your camera

  • @jacobasghar Then may god help you!

  • @jacobasghar u have a mom ?

  • haha has anyone won the challenge yet?:p

  • this is kool

  • i dont have scripts on my file tab thingy ive got photoshop 6.0 what else can i do?

  • i think its bcos the camera was on AF mode.

so pls tell me how to focus the camera(auto or manual), where to put the camera and how to get all 3 or 4 of me in diff parts of the frame in perfect focus. i want the final edited image to look as natural as possible.

(I've no problem with editing. its fine)

    PLS HELP ME. THANX.

  • @liahglask Use manual focus. Focus on the ground where you will be standing in the first location, then take the shots, leaving the focus alone. Use F11 if you want to make sure everything is really sharp, but only use F11 if you are outside and/or have lots of light to work with.

  • gr8 video. thanx.

i tried for it but some problems hpnd. pls help me.

    my setup is as follows:

nikon d40 with 18-55mm lens in autofocus mode on a tripod and a remote. im shooting inside my room.

first i put the camera on af and focussed on the area where i will be standing first and then turned AF off. i took 3 shots with me at 3 places and all 3 came out of focus.

then i put the camera back on AF mode and took 3 shots with me at 3 parts of the frame.all came out gud but there's some prblm

  • Thanks

  • What did you do about focusing?

  • @LUKE8822 I might have used autofocus for this, but it is best to focus and then turn Auto-Focus off when taking all the pictures to ensure the focusing does not change

  • 100? :))) What is the prize?

  • @aadiflesher A free copy my e-book, Trick Photography and Special Effects.

  • @PhotoExtremist wait so its a legit challege? not just a joke? haha ill do it!

  • which photoshop version is this?

  • what if you don't have a remote timer or a friend ;]

  • @geeway4me Just drag and drop the photos ontop of each other so they become separate layers inside the photoshop document, or simply copy and paste them into the same photoshop document.

  • Comment removed

  • i don't have scripts under the file tag in my photoshop , is there any other way to stack pictures... or add pictures in the layer column?

  • @sagleo27 Yes. Open the files as you would normally, but copy and paste them into one document.

  • I can't seem to make this work, i get as far as inverting the photo but then i can see the first image along with the second, when I select the layer mask my photoshop wont allow me to use the brush tool on it, does anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong ?

  • @ClariceMcClellan Make sure you click on the layer mask because you use the brush to make sure that the layer mask is selected, and make sure that you are using the opposite color of the layer mask on your brush (black/white). Also make sure that nothing else is selected in the frame (to do this, grab the rectangular marquee tool and simply click inside the picture once)

  • When i start coloring over it, the original one only fades slightly. so i have to repeatedly paint over instead of just once like in the video. im using the trial of CS5, i follow all the steps. why isnt it working efficiantly?

  • @99koolio99 At the top of the screen, make sure that the Opacity is set to 100% -- that controls the transparency of the brush.

  • what kind of photoshop do you use?

  • @snowdogpuppy I use Photoshop CS5, but this will ultimately work with any version.

  • May I know where to download the software?

  • @doraemonkiller I was using Adobe Photoshop CS4. You'll either have to buy it or use the free alternative program: GIMP

  • Wooo! First view!. Nice video by the way, Vlue. I do have a question though; what version of Windows are you using? It looks like Windows ME or 2000, but I didn't think Photoshop ran that well in those. Anyways, great job.

  • @SketchReed Thanks man :) I am on XP, I'm just using the oldschool "theme" because I don't like how bulky and colorful the XP theme looks :) I also think it saves a little bit of memory usage...
