i saw tool at the big day out, they made every other band look terrible, im seeing them when they cum back to nz, stinkfist was so intense when they did it, 40 thousand people were moshing to it, even those who were in seats..yeah hard to believe but they are that good
something ..has to change undeniable biiida borda bida anyother way cos not enough not any mor nuthin dreamsatsatsify dadaada i dont want it i jus need it tobee be to nora live -- haha aah good times altho i have to say i love stinkfist - anyone know if rumours are true tool and tallica are playin at reading fest??
say what you will....tool is the most amazingly orignal and deeply phsycological bands of all time..not even mentioning their sheer musical talent...best band ever
no guys, i think eulogy has it right for THIS performance..its way different before the "ill keep digging" which doesnt have the intense emphasis as does the AEnima version..his lyrics sound right though for that different part
i go to toolshed too, i have a forum name or whatever they are called but i would never be able to pull that type of information out, the lyrics i could but not what songs paul worked on
hmmmm, that's interesting. If I'm not mistaken that's Paul D'amour up their with them on bass still, and from what I understood Justin Chancellor was with them for the entire writing process of Aenema... well now we can only assume that Paul still had a hand in some of the writing process for Aenema.
Wrong. Paul wrote Stinkfist, Eulogy, Pushit, and Aenima. JC did H., 46&2, Hooker, Jimmy, and Third Eye. This video was 1995 before Aenima recording started and they were previewing these songs. Paul quit shortly after this video then JC came in during the recording of Aenima. JC recorded all the songs on the album but Paul wrote the parts I noted above.
I read years ago that, according to Adam, Paul actually left primarily because he wanted to switch to being the band's 2nd guitarist, but apparently the rest of the guys, especially Adam, weren't keen.
Love these alternate versions.

"Something's kinda crawling inside
Cannot peel it away from me
Should I try to tear or take it down
Held what feeling did to me
Shove it, shove it inside
Here we go, you kneel and I'll stick it in
I really don't feel a thing at all"
I think it's here instead of were.

I LOVE this perfomance! I like this bridge more than the one that did it to Ænima!

This so crazy to see. 3:49-4:13 is way different than what they ended up recording.
It's extra cool to me because that part of Stinkfist is my favorite Tool thing ever. It's awesome to hear it in the development stage.

Wow... Eulogy09 is claiming ownership over a band that's not even his.. I hate it when kids do that.

Actually, Paul left right Aenima was finished and Justin came in right at the last minute.

I just heard it as that Paul quickly left Tool like a year before Aenima came out due to creative differances.

Something kinda crawling inside
Can not Peel Away from me
Should I try to care or take it down
Held what feeling did to me
Something's shoved deep inside
Here we go, you kneel and I’ll stick it in
I really don't feel a thing at all
eulogy09 5 years ago
Thanks for your take on it! Here's my modified version of what I think he's saying:
"Something's kinda crawling inside
Cannot peel it away from me
Should I try to tear or take it down
Held what feeling did to me
Shove it, shove it inside
Were we go, you kneel and I'll stick it in
I really don't feel a thing at all"
But I could be wrong...

sounds pretty close. the second line is barely audible and i dont think your lyrics match up though.
fireandashes36 4 years ago
ok its Here we go, ...
but i take back what i said about the second line.
fireandashes36 4 years ago
Perfect. Your not wrong, I heard those words too.
