This so crazy to see. 3:49-4:13 is way different than what they ended up recording.

It's extra cool to me because that part of Stinkfist is my favorite Tool thing ever. It's awesome to hear it in the development stage.

i saw tool at the big day out, they made every other band look terrible, im seeing them when they cum back to nz, stinkfist was so intense when they did it,  40 thousand people were moshing to it, even those who were in seats..yeah hard to believe but they are that good

no guys, i think eulogy has it right for THIS performance..its way different before the "ill keep digging" which doesnt have the intense emphasis as does the AEnima version..his lyrics sound right though for that different part

hmmmm, that's interesting. If I'm not mistaken that's Paul D'amour up their with them on bass still, and from what I understood Justin Chancellor was with them for the entire writing process of Aenema... well now we can only assume that Paul still had a hand in some of the writing process for Aenema.

Actually, Paul left right Aenima was finished and Justin came in right at the last minute.

Wrong. Paul wrote Stinkfist, Eulogy, Pushit, and Aenima. JC did H., 46&2, Hooker, Jimmy, and Third Eye. This video was 1995 before Aenima recording started and they were previewing these songs. Paul quit shortly after this video then JC came in during the recording of Aenima. JC recorded all the songs on the album but Paul wrote the parts I noted above.

I just heard it as that Paul quickly left Tool like a year before Aenima came out due to creative differances.

I read years ago that, according to Adam, Paul actually left primarily because he wanted to switch to being the band's 2nd guitarist, but apparently the rest of the guys, especially Adam, weren't keen.
