This computer is anything but powerful and reliable. Bought this in 07 in australia. Came with 1GB RAM but installed with Windows Vista, ran slow as hell. Far too much of Acer's unnecessary and useless software pre-installed clogging up the system resources as if Vista wasn't already wasting them. Re-installed to Windows XP, but lost a lot of hardware drivers. Endless searches for the drivers show there is NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER. Don't ever buy an Acer Computer.

@hanrinch My eMac has 256MB of RAM. It can watch youtube videos fine at 360p, browse the web, and even play a few basic games. I got my eMac in 2002. I put 6GB of RAM in my MacBook Pro because I do a lot of heavy tasks and the difference that extra 2GB (up from 4GB) makes is noticeable, but for the average user, 2GB is more than adequate and for a lot of people.

Please don't reply with Mac hate comments. It's my choice and replying in that manner would be a waste of time.

try install snow leopard and you're cry for it....hell my 128mb p3 450 can play youtube video as well, but point is what is your operating system and what browser you're using? i can tell you this 256mb won't be enough for windows 7 and snow leopard...let along with vista...try running snow leopard with firefox on your old rig and you will experience the horror in your life....

btw snow leopard has power mac version so don't tell me you can't run it.

@hanrinch It couldn't run Snow Leopard or Windows 7 anyways because it has a PowerPC processor. It's running Tiger (10.4). Leopard (10.5) was compiled for both PPC and Intel, but Snow Leopard (10.6) is Intel-only. Why do you need the newest OS? If there are browsers still being written for it and flash still supports it, as it does for Tiger, I'd be fine using it. I wouldn't use it as my main machine, but for just jumping on line, as I sometimes do when my MBP is shut down, it's fine.

My Intel Celeron D 352 3.20GHz runs at 3.80ghz and i have nothing to complain ... it's about 2 eyars old and does it's job pretty good... runs crysis , world in conflict , unreal tournamnt 3 at medium-high graphics at a reasonable 20-30 FPS (geforce 8600gt 512 GDDR3)

Intel celeron d are much better!!! you know y? i have a celeron d 3.06 and running 2 operating system XP and Vista. i play rise of legends, need for speed carbon, NBA live 08 etc. i think its not just in the processor but in memory and video card as well. intel celeron d 3.06 + 512 mb memory + 256 video card (PCI x). much cheaper but quality computing....

Celeron processors are excellent for everyday computing, no good for serious gamers though. The only things i do with my computer is surf the web, listen to music online and watch online videos. I only have a 2.66 Ghz Celeron D processor and 512 mb ram. My machine boots fairly quick and runs everything i do flawlessly, a great value for the money.
