i've been playing for awhile and have come to the fact that mellophone is not one the hardest instruments to master..the french horn is, the mellophone is not.. and if you can play trumpet you could easily play mellophone.

i totally agree with you, Karnsmellophones. i play the french horn in my school band and switch to the mellophone when i march, and the french horn is the much harder instrument by far. (it's much easier to reach the higher notes on the mellophone than the french horn)
