how can you get the internal mic to play thru tractor pro 2? i set up the inputs and it shows that it hears the mic but when i try to record something thru the mic it doesn't hear it

How would I route a decent mic (instead of using the built in computer mic) and record? Like the idea of recording part of a speech say, during the best man's toast--and then sample that into the mix later on the dance floor. Would I need a mixer set up with my sound card and send it back somehow?

well my example was just me fooling around and being silly :) - I probably would never use that in a club as well. You could easily create different results though that would be very usable. Just remove the pitch shifting and use less distortion.
