  • I was in TF-128 with you guys. I remember Tucker. Got to know him when he volunteered to go up to Brassfield-Mora with guys from our Recon PLT do do some security at a Iraq Army base. I remember his deer hunting stories. I was shocked the day he he died. So close to going home. He will be missed.

  • @crazinamatese - Awesome. Yeah I remember when you guys went up there.... I was ticked that Wes got picked from my Squad when he didn't want to go and another guy wanted to but the PSG picked him anyway..... I could go on but I'll shut up about that. Wes was a fine young man and I miss him everyday. Thanks for the comment and keep in touch. "First and Forward"

  • @asby69 That mission was a waste of time. Just did FOB security the whole time. But, that was the time I got to know Tucker. I been looking for guys from your squadron but I barely remember names. I got to know some of the K-troop guys thru various missions at FOB O'ryan.

  • Asberry, is this your handiwork? Very touching video. Miss seeing you guys. Odd how I never met Wes, yet he has made a huge impact on my life. I will never forget.

  • @militarywriter

Yes, it sure is. Had different music originally but the music execs put the ixne' on that. Guess they weren't getting any money out of it.

  • This is SPC Owens, formerly of K-Troop. Tucker was a great young man and did not deserve to die the way that he did. I thank you for this tribute.

  • GOD BLESS, for the sacrifice and sorry for your loss! Do not ever forget we support and love all of you and thank you for the work that you do each day for us back home! It is obvious he was loved and you will all see him again!

  • What a wonderful tribute for one of my former students! Wesley was a wonderful young man who never saw a stranger. He died being what he wanted to be--a soldier. But he is much more than that; he is a hero to all of us who knew him. He loved life; the saddest part is that he didn't get to live long enough to get to see his baby daughter grow up. Thank you for doing this for him.

  • you do my best one already , have , value , The very , money has can not , let's does best today , fight next ( yes sir )

  • My brother was friends with Wes all during high school and I went to school with both of Wes parents so we have knew each other for yrs...Our family just loved Wes...We miss him and think of him often..Wes was one of the nicest guys i had ever met..And i will never forget his big smile...Our town Lost a Real American Hero but our family lost a true friend....We Love you Wes. You will never be Forgotten!!!. The Hummels"

  • R.I.P. soldier we will meet again some day brother

    Semper fi

  • R.I.P.

  • bless all of you...

  • I was also at FOB O'Ryan with you all. I was the Battalion Mail Clerk for 1-128. I remember when this happened, I was in the ALOC at the time. My thoughts were immediately with these guys families. I dread having to give the PO at the LSA a letter stating a soldier had fallen. I pray for the man who survived. Lord, knows that must be heart-wrenching and burden to bear. Take care and God bless.

  • Thanks for the kind words. I was the patrol leader on that mission and I know exactly what you're saying. The other soldiers, that were in the vehicle, are doing OK I guess.... I don't think either of us will ever be the way we were before that day. Thank you and always "First and Forward"

  • I personally Know Wesley's Sister Brittney, shes a good friend of mine and i know she misses him each and everyday and its a shame i never got to meet him cuz from what i hear he was one hell of a guy. RIP Wes sorry we never got to meet im sure we woulda gotten along great!

  • I was at Camp Shelby and FOB O'Ryan with the scout sniper platoon HHC 1-128. I got to know Robert Wesley Tucker at the gym and when we were stationed in Samara together for a couple weeks. I was going to make a trip down from Wisconsin to go coon hunting with Wes when we got back. I think about Wes often, especially around the 13th of October. Would trade places with him in a second because of his little girl and the great guy he was. Thanks for the vid. RIP Tucker

  • Thanks man. I really appreciate it. It gets hard every year at this time. God speed.

  • Wow. Thank you.

  • A wonderful tribute. Thank you for sharing the memory of a true hero. That memory now lives on here. R.I.P. SPC Tucker

  • woh its so sad R I P

  • I know this death is still painfull. And all the soliders who went before him the soliders at Gettysburg, Valley Forge, Batann, Inchon, Khe Shange wee wanted for Tucker. Until you see him again on that day

  • I remember when you guys were on your way home and the 101st was coming in. K Troop spent most of your time at FOB Cobra or Berenstein right?

I missed all from the 278th, you were a good unit.

    RIP SPC Tucker

  • No, K Troop was at FOB O'Ryan and no where else. Thanks for the comment.

  • @asby69 I want to join the army just for my country

  • im so sorry.if i may ask,how did he die ? i can understand if you dont want to answer that.

  • Tucker was killed while on patrol when an IED detonated on his vehicle. It was especially painfull for all of us because we were only days away from leaving, and had suffered very few casulties from our FOB.

    RIP Tucker.

  • the one of him on the gold chair with the big fucking bug, if that were me, i'd want that on my coffin.
