  • Can someone tell me from experience what exactly is the benefit of eating 5 - 7 small meals per day? I am aware that it will increase the efficiency of my metabolism but how does that contribute to muscle building?

  • I've been trying to gain weight since I was little. I've always hated being so skinny, but nothing ever works! My doctors say it's just my metabolism. The funny thing is, I eat more than most people I know lol

  • i know rite. i am a 15 year old male, over 6' tall, and im only 155lbs. that is very light and im really thin. so, i talked to my mom about it and she was like "why would you want to gain weight. being this is better. um, no. i need to gain weight and there is nothing out there to help cause every thing is about loosing weight. maybe i should just eat a bunch of lard. lol

  • I have the same fuking problem..and I hate it.. I have a well balanced meal (5 times) dont smoke, dont drink, i train hard and sleep 8-9 hours.. Some lucky bastards can smoke weed and dont take care about their bodies and look stronger than me!Q!

  • Yeah same. Had blood tests at the doctors and stuff and my thyroid was fine.

    Doctors and nutrionists tell you the same thing. carbs and protein bla bla blah.

    Weird thing is im always hungry. Im always eating and yet no weight gain.

    Ive been like this for a good 3 years now and Im so fed up. Apparently , the doctors do provide a drug or something that disables your thyroid and metablolism and even destroys it depending on what the doctor gives you.

  • ...but they dont have to be full course meals do sumthing simple like grilled cheese on a high fiber wHeat bread a 1/2glass of milk and maybe some nuts... even a scrambled egg sandwhich is good..always try to add a glass of milk or ensure with each meal...and most of all do a work out. I started doing billy blanks...I only bought one dvd and that is still the only one i have but it was called Celebrity Fit Sculpt...that dvd was the truth!

  • (cont) ...I ate 1 hour b4 i worked out & ate again like RIGHT after. It helps to have food or a protein drink ready b4 u start cuz u will be 2 tired to make sumthin. Also take a multivatimin *AT NIGHT* b4 bed w/ water. Ya body will break it down as u sleep and in 2 days u'll feel results as far as energy goes.

  • no need to serve monster meals, keep them small, after some time, your body will ask for more...

  • Keep them small? Kind of a overstatement if a person needs to consume 3000 calories a day... 500 calories per a meal? That's not "small", that's medium.
