If being a Liberal means being fearless and gutsy enough to propose a specific plan (instead of platitudes), so be it. Edwards' plan is a mix of market incentives, tax credits, and rollbacks of Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy, etc. Its worth consideration. Let's face it, insured people are already paying for the 47 million uninsured people who use ER's as their primary care physicians. We're paying through outrageous premiums and restricted access.
