  • wot a load ov shit grow up

  • Fresh !

  • In the 80's you had to have SKILLS on the mic to be respected or looked up to... No one CARED what car you had, how many broads, what type of jewels...you had to be NICE on the mic or get BOOED off stages... Today? Almost ANY type garbage is accepted as "rap music"...smh

  • @daboss88100 tru dt man, these days its all abou themselves...nway,um not bothered because iv neva bothered buyin any of the new xul cd.....im a young persn bt the 80s guys earn my respect man...hiphop was hiphop

  • @Ruffas100 Indeed...much respect is due to the pioneers who paved the way for this hip-hop "thing of ours"

  • Whoops! Looks like those 9 obviously dont know what REAL music is.

  • @cik929rr Slick Rick should wrap it up...Soulja "Pervert" Boy sucks badly...That's why I won't promote his shit.

  • yeah, esta esta buena,, es vieja pero buena

  • @xlThaXrampagelx the song is mona lisa,,,,the sample is????

  • would you make me one with just the baby voice and the backround beat ?

  • one word. classic-oldskoolhiphop-shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hipo hop will ALWAYS be here because there will always be those creative, rebellious, inventive n think-outside-the-box personality types plus the talented half-way normal folk they inspire...=]

  • walk on by by dionne warwick/bobby caldwell?

  • good song! rap now a days sucks

  • old school!!!! hip hop is barely dead fuck all those punk ass nigga

  • @rafmen3003 If you are talking about today's "talent" as punk asses, you are right....they have no talent at all!!!

  • one of the toughest songs ever period

  • Thiss is the shit . ( :

Thiss is real rap jay z , 50cent none of them no what thiss

Hahaa go head slick get em .

  • slick rick is BEAST

  • @Jnavarro44 You will find "rap" originated on the streets of Bronx late 60's - It was influences by reggae toasting (poetry over dub) which came from Jamaica early 1960's. Blondie loved what she heard and tried to copy 1975, but was no where near the first. Not even close. young kids named Melvin Glover, Kurtis Walker & Joseph Saddler just to name a few were deep into this culture long before blondie even signed a record deal or was even heard of.

  • jnavarro44, Blondie was or is considered the first female Rapper. The Song Rapture was released in 1981. The Sugar Hill's Gang Rappers Delight was the First Rap hit. It was Released in 1979. Obviously then Blondie was not the first Rapper. There were Rappers before the Sugar Hill Gang.

  • rick is no joke big up

  • Slick Rick has to be one of the greatest rappers of all time.

to bad i wasn't around when he started bustin his rhymes through the airwaves. : (

  • looking at some of these comments i truly feel old. especially the one that says my dad really likes this and knows all the words lol

  • i cant think of any mainstream rapper who can flow like this. Rick is a General MC

  • my [arents enjoy this song theyy adore it n expecially my popzz he noss all of the words

n i really like the tune and the lyrics!!!!!1

  • top 5 storytellers in all of hiphop. todays rappers can learn a lesson

  • @siremike who are the other 4?

  • nah this is hip hop not rap

  • @jlubez

rap is what the MC does.

  • Rap is the Lyrics, Hip hop is the music you rap over... Rap has been around since the 1970's maybe even before that. Hip Hop started in the 1980's,

I don't what you guys are listening today but it ain't Hip hop, and the MC's you got these days ain't saying nothing.

    Sad really

  • @IcuonlineWebtv yeah i hate the garbage today there's no rhymes and no talent. i usually stick to the tribe slick rick and that general stuff

  • @IcuonlineWebtv the first rapper was blondie

  • Hip hop is the culture, rap the music. The other elements of the hip hop culture are: graffiti, breakdance,dj-ing and last but not least: KNOWLEDGE.get educated.

  • @pflurbur I'm so glad someone finally said what i've been thinking for awhile now.People think because you rap, that's hip hop,no,it's just one of the 5 elements, great comment and much respect to you.

  • LMAO omg someone is bringin up soulja boy again ery music artist i got on youtube someone mentins soulja boy this is sad i gusss eryone thinks he ruined hiphop

  • he isn't all that! at least to some people. Some people think he's the greatest rapper of all time! ha ha! they need to do their homework!! he isn't all that! the the younger kids maybe but if they like hip-hop they need to look at all those that came before!

  • I have never heard anybody call Solja Boy the greatest rapper of all time.....Lil' Wayne yes, (Which I don't agree with) but never Solja Boy....

    baddest line

  • rap is a genre all its own that spawns it's own genres...

story telling...gangsta rap...old school...socially conscious....and then there are the lyricist....and out of these genres do we find the giants of rap...

    The G.O.A.T is Rakim...lyrically untouchable..

The arcitect of gangsta rap...Ice Cube...He was boyz-n-da hood...the most vocal on their classics and the stand alone brand...

Story telling...The greatest was this man..Slick Rick...

Old School...Run DMC...these guys are the pioneers

  • just a question shouldnt every body from nwa be the arcitect of gangsta rap

  • I suppose you can. It depends on how you look at it. So what I will give you is my interpretation of it. When NWA came on the scene they hit hard. I mean hard! On their classic album Straight Out Of Compton Ice Cube was the loudest voice. He stood out, lyrically he had the most captivating sound and style. From Straight Outta Compton to Gangsta Gangsta to Dope man (this was released on a maxi single) to a Bit.. is a Bit.. he was the loudest voice. And even Easy hits. He wrote alot of those.

  • wow. This is great? Im not really into rap, but slick rick is wiild! ZX

  • Slick Rick is legendary. No questions asked

  • i no all his song by heart i should be the nexy mc ricky

  • even though he's from the UK, he spent most his life in the US. Guess you still can consider him british tho...some people don't know that lol.

  • and like most blacks in the UK - his family migrated there from Jamaica. That's how he was born in the UK

  • he lost his british accent when he was in prison

  • lost his british accent?...not completely

  • he lost alot of it. listen to the song street talikn.

  • I wonder what they must of done to him in there... :O

  • nothing. probably made him rap is the most.

  • best MC

    walk on by! Foolish pride

that's all that I have left, so, let me hide

the pain and the hurt that you gave me

    When you said goodbye!

That's from ''Dionne Warwick - Walk on By''
