  • There is so many holes, I don`t even know where to start.

  • A life-long criminal rapes a young girl and it apprehended. The ensuing trial convicts him of the crime and he is incarcerated. Shortly after arriving in prison, the criminal is violently raped, tortured and killed by a few other inmates - are those acts evil given what the criminal had done? Though they may never admit it publicly, the young girls family, law enforcement, and the judicial system is probably ecstatic that "he got his".

  • I thought this was suppose to be a response. This was pathetic. I do not sympathize with Christianity, but this is a discredit to my view, I feel ashamed that someone thought they could contend with a mind like Dr. Zacharias with such pathetic arguments: they are pure conjectures with no support, logic, or true back.

  • The question is: Is evil an technical term, or is it a feeling? If we define evil as an emotion like ill will or bad, then your argument holds. However if we understand that God is the source or all things, and God is good, then we must understand that all good things are of God. The question then becomes if evil is not of God, then "what is it?" and "where does it come from?" You see evil is left with no choice other than to define it's own existence by trying to destroy good.

  • Evil is anything that change the nature of an item from it's designed purpose. So in a since evil is relative to the object and the creator. For instance if you were to use a glass goblet as a hammer, the materials of the goblet would still exist, but it would no longer be a goblet. From the point of view of the goblet an evil transpired causing to cease from existing as a goblet. From the point of view of the creator who wanted a goblet, the goblet no longer fulfills its design.

  • In a similar sense if God designed man for a purpose, to commune with Him, then if man performs actions that which render him incapable of communing with God then he he has destroyed his intended purpose. Much like the goblet. And much like the goblet the glass can be melted down and recreated as a goblet again, God provides this process in the form of Christ Jesus His son.

  • The mistake people make is believing that the laws given by God are exhaustive or define of evil. The fact is even if you could abide by every law in the Bible, you would still need to be 'fixed' as we are born broken, because mankind is broken. In summary, evil is not a feeling, it is technical term defining our present relationship with God and our own relationship with ourselves.

  • Sorry, all of these post are showing up in reverse order. Please start from the bottom and work your way up. :)

  • @GeneralDelta "Evil is anything that change the nature of an item from it's designed purpose."

So would scuba diving equipment and airplanes be evil since they allow humans to breathe underwater and fly through the air which changes the nature of our "designed purpose?"

Would it be evil to use a pencil to scratch an itch on my back since the pencil's intended purpose is to write with, not to be used a back scratcher?
