@Oilbeefooked From my understanding of the subject, I'd say people like Nye have looked into the subject but found that there isn't enough proof to support the claims of there being UFOs, and have then drawn the conclusion that these witnesses where mistaken, and that the proof to support such an event didn't actually exist, on a scientific level. Turning out inproper evidence is part of the scientific method and is thus what Nye has concluded.

This is true there are many hoaxes. The possibility of it being real are a slim chance and it is mostly likely something else. My hypothesis is that the film was altered by one or more people, perhaps as a prank, making fun of the dummy warhead's falling from its trajectory. That would be very embarrassing, such an important test and film being monkeyed with like that. Reason enough to have everyone shut up about it.

As for researching it and having a curious mind, astronomers are constantly listening for signals and looking for planets that can support life. While there are people claiming that they are seeing flying dinner plates, the scientists are trying hard to find real extraterrestrial life.

The fact that they have not intercepted any signals as yet dosen't mean that extraterrestrial life does not exist. Leading astronomers conclude that those signals cant travel further than 100 light years and if they were open to the fact that there 'may' be an advanced race out there they would understand why no signal has been retrieved

What they don't do however, is draw wild non-sequitur conclusions from fuzzy pictures, eyewitness accounts from those 800 miles away, and hearsay. There's no "research" to be done on such evidence, no samples to take, no data to process.
It's a breakdown of both the scientific method and logical thought to argue that because something P is a coincidence, therefore conclusion Q:(It's extraterrestrial) must be true.

There is ZERO evidence that and of the suspicious events that occurred could be related to extraterrestrial life.

@Oilbeefooked From my understanding of the subject, I'd say people like Nye have looked into the subject but found that there isn't enough proof to support the claims of there being UFOs, and have then drawn the conclusion that these witnesses where mistaken, and that the proof to support such an event didn't actually exist, on a scientific level. Turning out inproper evidence is part of the scientific method and is thus what Nye has concluded.

He had limited window in which to reply so he had to cut to the chase. He was never asked what his personal opinions were. There is still no clear evidence presented by anyone for extraterrestrial activity. Personal attacks on Bill Nye destroyed that airforce guy's credibility more than anything else. Go Bill.

The chances of life evolving on some planet lightyears away are good, but what are the chances that there are beings that look like a HUMAN... C'mon, if there is a life on the other planet it most likely would not evolve the same as on earth so I believe that these aliens that come and visit us are not real and sure don't have the human fiziology... It is highly unlikely... What i believe is that it is the army technology that is being kept secret, and it has nothing to do with aliens...

@peterloohunt I thought Nye was arrogant having all these evidences right in front of him and he still attacks them implying them to be drunkards and liars after his main argument of power failure was evidently "debunked" by the men beside him. He kept arguing with them by accepting their argument that they saw UFO but he still attacks their beliefs on the topic because he himself cannot explain the phenomena. I still don't understand why Nye is here against former employees with PhDs ....
