centrifugal force is a fictitious force, created by frames of reference. we know these circular frames of reference are not the actual model since they conflict with special relativity... so a fictitious force is like being pushed back in your car as you speed it up. no force is acting on your body, but you feel it nonetheless.
It's really simple. The angle that the fork and spoon are at makes the center of gravity right at the edge of the glass. Notice that they hang at an angle and the end of the handle of both the fork and spoon is right over the middle of the glass and then the tip is past the edge of the glass. The trick is getting it balanced from the beginning.
Neither magic nor a fake. The center of gravity for the fork and spoon is actually very low, and inside the glass. So there is no way for the fork and spoon to fall. Same principle for tightrope walkers who carry a flexible pole - it lowers their CG, and they are less likely to fall.
CG is not inside the glass, it is directly below the glass brim where the toothpick is resting. You have to fix the end under the spoon so that it doesn't rotate down. The tight rope walker total weight is still on the rope and the CG is low directly in line with his body. The toothpick is placed between the fork and spoon to stop it from rotating down, and the edge of spoon at top stops the other end from rotating up, and then we got a static balance.

centrifugal force does not exist
you don't understand reference frames

explain how it doesnt exist.

Wow, that was mouth dropping, surprise. I thought for sure when the match burned the fork and spoon would fall.

third option... faked. you never see the bottom of the spoon, camera refuses to pull back or dip low enough to see how the spoon is being supported.
mouseturbator 4 years ago
you can see the bottom at 0:25, ur just jealos that he can do it and you can't
KingdomFan112 4 years ago
Wrong! Just try it, any idiot can do it so you should be fine.
j4wn 4 years ago
hey stupid if u pay attention and see that the bottom of the spoon is hangin off the edge
scooters4lif2 3 years ago
hey stupid, why don't you actually try it before you ctriticize anyone. It works.
