  • My favorite number by the Cult.

  • They are amazing live....

  • Where flies the white falcon, there flies the love-

    The Sanctuary

  • I love it! People love to talk shit, cause they hear this on Youtube, but if they were actually there live, enjoying it like the rest of us, they'd have a change of heart for sure. They are amazing live! One of the best live bands ever.

  • This song has to be the best rock song ever recorded. Love it.

  • Haven't lost any of their original energy. I figure Astbury must've just wanted a break from the hair. I can empathsize in Florida. Thank you cultfollower.

  • I have no idea why any of you would wish to criticise Ian Astbury.

  • Hey just saw your comment even though its a year old.People with small fucking minds and no idea tend to mock or criticise things they dont understand-In this case Ian Astbury...assholes everywhere these days..nice post butterfly.Bump thisthread and lets get rid of the ignorant pricks who wouldnt know a decent band if it smacked em in the head...

  • give me sanctuary baby, that's what a woman is for!

  • well, TRAmPLdUNdRfOoT, let us all play our songs exactly as we recorded them for all time. would that suit you? better yet, why don't you stay at home and wank off to the record and spend less time studying drums and more time playing them. it is obvious you have never toured or played live shows years after a song was written. idiot.

  • Not too shabby. Billy's guitar sounds pretty good.

  • ...I will wear my hair long...an extension of my soul...what happened?

  • yeah, good cuestion,

    but anyway the cult rocks!

  • Saw them back in '92...

The show was not that great. The place was smallish and didn't sell out, and the crowd wasn't too crazy. Seems like Ian felt almost insulted, and he really didn't put much into the gig.

The rest of the band rocked though...

  • It sounds almost exactly the same each time they do it live...the guitar is different than in the recording, the drums don't come in right after the first guitar part, and does 4th high hats instead of 8ths...

  • i bet u that u would have loved it if u were there to listen to the proper thing live, it always sounds better when your actually there in the atmosphere

  • So fucking what? it's their song and they can play it any way they want to. Go take your Prozac. I think you got some obsessive cumpulsive disorder.

  • Having seen this band in concert. One can sense an uneasy tension between these guys. The rhythm guitarist is utterly ignored.

When you leave, you KNOW who the two stars are of this group, which is understandable, BUT you expect a fight to breakout at any moment.

  • The rest of the band are like guests on the stage man...the cult is: ASTBURY-DUFFY

  • They're the 2 original members, aren't they? I could be wrong, but it seems like everyone else is interchangeable.

  • I must beg to differ w/ you on this, although I was not at this show. I saw them perform 6 months before this particular show in Boston and I must say I've never seen Ian and Billy interact so fraternally w/ each other and the audience in 20+ years of seeing them play out live. Hopefully what you saw was just a fluke off night for them. They are best hard rock band in the world...CFFC!

  • If you read the info thing at the top it was actually filmed in The Apollo in Manchester in ENGland

  • Nice to see they got the sense to get a second guitar player to fill out the sound.I remember hearing them in the early 1990's and they were just awful whihc was a shame cos they ahve many great songs. This sounds good!

  • This looks like the Sayerville N.J., show. It was an amazing night. Ian sounded incredible.

    g00g0

  • Weell, actually this might be Vienna, Austria End of June (24th I think), too...

Same stageproduction, same clothes everybody... but the audience in Vienna was fucking wilder!!!

  • i have that purple hoody too!

  • i saw them at Buenos Aires December 2006,we are monkees but we loved them.Geniusssss

  • love it when ian says "Oh those heads that turn really quiet!

  • Man can still sing like he did when he was 24.Still sounds terrific.

  • Woo he's doing the dance xD

  • I was there, still the best live band I've seen! Have asked the above question on www thecult us regarding Jamie will report back here

    CFFC

  • did you ever get the answer to that question?

  • Great Video! Thanks! Question for Cult fans: I saw The CUlt in Leeds a few days ago and Jamie Stewart (original Bassist) was up in the Balcony watching wistfully and looking really ill - then he left looking sad. Anyone know what is wrong with him?
