Ok I'm 11 and I can swim the 100x IM (not a avid freestyler.) and my time was 1:15.... But still he was good. He just needs to put his head in the water and KICK!!!!!!!

It's quite sad that some people on here are clearly posting comments on here to say how slow he is and how fast you all are at whatever age you are... You really should be ashamed of yourselves. He worked hard to get there and even though towards the end it seemed to be a struggle for him he won the race. Just be pleased for him and the determination and confidence he had in order to go it alone like that. I couldn't do it.

honestly i think its unfair he is allowed to swim. people in the U.S.A train their whole life hoping to just make it to olympic trials and he goes 40 seconds slower than them yet he can swim.

at practice we sometimes extend our pool to 33m and there's a huge difference in the standard 25m

Cut him some slack, 100m in an extended pool PLUS he was the only one there. i mean yeah my time is faster than that. a 1:04 but still ya gotta learn to accept how other people swim, and what the could be under at the time of their swim.

This is the part I don't get about qualifying for the olympics--- there are thousands of ppl with the talent to qualify for the olympic heats, yet a country with a guy who can't qualify gets to send one... makes no sense.
