For those people that have never read about US history and minstrel shows, you may not understand the underlying controversy this ad displays. Yes, there is nothing wrong with chocolate or the product itself, BUT how it is advertised. Minstrel shows were white people who put black shoe polish on themselves to look and perform like African Americans.  It was intended for entertainment and ridiculed blacks Look up the word "minstrel" on google and you can see the connection (racial joke).
