not exactly sure of the signal flow here but if I wanted to hook up my gt-6 to my dual recto...does anyone know how I would get the best sound as far as the signal flow is concerned? Any helpful suggestions would be awesome.

@reveries119 You would really be better off getting a gt-8. The gt8 has an effects loop which allows you to use the 4 cable method. This means that you can route effects either before or after the preamp in the effects loop of the amp. Its probably the best multi effects when using this method.

One of my guitars tends to give some buzz even on a clean channel.. The pickups are very hot, though. The rest of my guitars sound very clear so it's possible you have a bad ground in your amp, or guitar (or connection between the pedal and input). Those two things are more likely than a bad unit. First thing I would try is going into the master settings and turning the noise gate on if it isn't already.

This guy really has a blast doing these demos, and you know he gets a healthy paycheck for it.....plus some endorsement deals (I mean really, you got a product and want Johnny DeMarco to demo it and he says "gimme one, and I will", are you gonna say no?). This dude has the best job in the world. He can actually go from melodic blues improv to super-fast "shredding" without losing any of the feeling behind the slow melody. THAT is how you know he's enjoying the making of music.

Most people buying these pedals do not run two amps. I borrowed a GT-8 from a friend this past weekend; used it 30 minutes and gave it back. Too complicated and too much time to get what you want from it only to get a really solid state sounding output. Plus it sounds one way in the bedroom, much different playing live. Hard to tweak your saved patches under live situations.

I prefer using a good dual channel tube amp, 3-4 effects pedals.

I have played alot of stuff and when it comes to quailty of sound! multi effects are not that good, going for a small selection of good analog pedals is better in my opinion! for example! the build your own clone overdrive 2 owns all the multi effects on overdrive sounds! but if you have to go for multi effects? if you have the money? I would look at the TC Electronic Nova System, that has analog overdrive built in
