hey ...amazing how i send you a private message about flags and custom reflectors , that you go out and make a new youtube video about it. :)
one quick comment i bought cinefoil anybody use cinefoil as a light modifier??? saw a few cool youtube videos on its use and had to add it to my kit lol
@Alexvideoclip I do love using bounce - not always just straight up, either - a side wall bounce can give the impression of window light. Bounce off of a wall behind you can give you a real flood of light, too. The recent boudoir photos of Ashley were taken with a bounced SB-800 (not on the camera, it was on top of upper bed rails). That being said, you'd have to tear my Alien Bees out of my cold dead hands, due to the advantages of selective lighting for increased "dimension," etc...

@nextwavephotography It's no trouble. I enjoy sharing what I know, whether it's the ideal solution or not, and learning from others, too.

Hi Leight (I hope I spell it right !),
I have a little secret that can transform your "regular" house into a photographic studio, instantly and....for free !
But I'm to lazy to make a video about it.....ok, here is the trick:
You need a WHITE ceilling and POWERFULL flash (SB-800/900) with rotative head.
1: hold the camera, turn the flash head on your direction, then to the ceilling...and you get a $5000 studio for free !
I'll email you few pics samples.
Alex.

that is a great idea thanks keep them coming
if you were given a free camera would you go for a nikon d3s or a canon 1d mark 4

@myfaceback100 Either would be great. I'd get the Nikon because I think like Nikon does when it comes to how the controls are organized.

use a grey background as you can make it any colour

@lew1310 so how will it work, since the goal is to have a white background? Is there a technique for that? Please share

You should use flags/gobos to avoid light spill.
