  • they didn`t need 3 units for HEP since a lot have generators & the 3751 is more powerful cause it`s bigger than 765 which has hauled over 30 single level cars & there aren`t hills on the coast

  • wow nice catch pretty long

  • Looks like they had all the private cars. Nice video.

  • wow, 3751 is a beast! i love her whistle:)

  • Nice video. I'm on-board that train right now in the dome of the Silver Lariat. Tickets were available for this car and the Colonial Crafts through Trains Unlimited Tours for about 500 bucks.

  • I'm jealous! I took a tour of the Silver Lariat when during a stopover at King Street in Seattle once, and I was really impressed.

Do you know if the Northern Pacific Vista Dome sold tickets to the public, becuase that's the one I would most want to ride.

    Have fun!

  • I'm not sure if the Northern Pacific dome was selling tickets, but I'll bet that they were. Pretty much every car on here sold space, but the catch is that you had to join APPRCO in order to ride ($80 membership fee). We are passing through Santa Ana right now, and we don't expect to be in San Pedro for at least another 3 hours. Fun trip, but this is a long night.

  • That's awesome. I sure wish I was onboard that train.

If they sold tickets to the public, I would have gone, even if it was $299 or more like the UP/BNSF Puget Sound steam doubleheader back on 5/19/2007.

  • Some of the cars were selling tickets....I think from $300 to $600 or more...you had to buy a token membership to AAPRCO too.

  • Awesome Video!!

  • Awesome!! What a thing of beauty!!
