  • I guess i just view bill hicks and dane cook as different people and therefore separate performers so i have no reason to dislike one because i would never judge one based on the other.

  • whats wrong with dane cook?

  • I urge you to stop comparing Alex Jones to Bill Hicks.

Alex Jones is a fucking retard who will die uneducated, lonely, forgotten and still retarded.

Bill Hicks... well, let me put it like this: Legends Never Die.

  • Anyone ever notice Bill Hicks and Alex Jones look A LOT alike, and they have the same diction. It's... disturbing.

  • @snakeeyes03 I think he looks more like Rick Roderick.

  • @snakeeyes03 They're both angry Texans!

  • We miss you Bill!! If you were alive today, you would RIP Sarah Palin a new one...

  • I am a listener to alex jones program and am a fan of bill hicks. I disagree with about half of Jones claims (eugenics, 9/11 inside job, but i agree w bilderberg and NWO).

Bill and Alex are a lieele different, they are both semi libertarians but bill leans to the left and alex leans to the right.

And while they are both anti establishment and anti nwo, alex is a little more extreme.

Dont get me wrong though because Alex does make some good points sometimes

  • He is like House (not just the cane)

  • bill rocks

  • Check out the version in the side-bar, there's an extra 30 seconds & Bill gets to finish his story.

  • its not a war on drugs its a war on personal freedom, keep that in mind at all times

  • It is one confusing mess, I agree with that, But it really rubs my goat that some on the far right are posing in Hick's clothes. Hicks may not have been altogether sane or even very correct sometimes. But he came from a good place of human dignity and respect. The far right are about the rich not paying tax and fundamentalist dogma. Totally unlike Bill, he may have criticized and woken people up. but he loved democracy and equality, his deism was about the world becoming dignified as a whole

  • Exactly Mars, you hit the nail on the head!

  • fiendlin06, Jones stood for the republicans in Texas in 2000, just months before 911. He appeared on all national outlets and drew the anti war movement against the UN, and into the most obscure trash. Do your research! Do the right not argue that: Haliburton should not pay tax. Haligurton should not be regulated. those with property should have power. democracy is mod rule. - these are far right corp state policies, way uncool. conspiracy. It is how Hitler and religious right got power too
  • How dare you compare a genius of intellect and comedy like Hicks, to a nasty and stupid right wing conspiracy nut like Jones.

Alex Jones is a fundamentalist (which he strangely never mentions although he was involved in the church of David Koresh), he lead the anti war movement into complete obscurity.

Jones wants the rich to keep their bonuses, religious courts and laws, to end welfare.

All the crap Bill Hicks hated.

wake up, Alex Jones is the biggest fraud around. Ask yourself who benefits.

  • That's America for you.

  • freekin story!

  • They're both #1, present time. Doug Stanhope is #2.

  • fuckin right man.

  • is that the order which your mum blew them both?

  • y has he got a wlaking stick?

  • I loved it when he talk about the cover up at Waco..........

    $CIENTOLOGY KILL$ AND $O DOE$ DIANETIC$

  • Fair enough, truth in practical everyday life is pretty relative. Thats why its important not to get too attached to our perceptions or beliefs about "reality". Maybe I was being a clever-clogs before, but I dont mind updating my point of view now and then when necessary...

  • lovefist?

  • Now THIS is a guy with principles. I think a good test of just how good of an entertainer someone is would be if they took that wad of 20's or not. No real self respecting comedian would let someone do that and get away with the money.

  • That depends buddy. Bill Hicks was also a musician. :)

  • His knee is makeing me nummy!

  • "the truth is what you believe to be true"... Thats exactly what truth ISNT. If you believe something, that doesnt make it true. You DO create your own relative reality based on your beliefs, mind-sets, fears, prejudices, loves, hates, but that "personal universe" is not the same thing as "truth". Truth, by definition, is absolute and never bends to suit anybody's ego. I think the misunderstanding here is over the definition of the word "truth".

  • that's all well in good as far as truth in theory, but regarding the world that we actually live in and perceive, truth is relative.

  • ur perception is ur reality

  • That the big lie. You think it's YOUR reality. It's just reality, man. How you perceive it is irrelevant.

That's the problem with people. Self obsessed narcissists walking around like the universe owes them something. Like the way they see the world matters. I don't care if you're the president, you're still the tiniest blip on an infinite radar and then you're gone forever. Nothing. Pathetic ego-driven fools falling into the abyss.

  • calm the Fuck down

it was a simple statement shit..

  • That didn't sound calm?

Sorry, I was in a pretty misanthropic mood when I wrote that. Probably why I was watching Bill Hicks videos to begin with.

  • don't worry bout it

i do the same thing every now and then too

  • you don't have to COPY Bill Hicks

  • Thanks for putting this on. Good stuff.

  • Hey the cane... from when those veterans broke his leg.

  • rainaRAD.....and you dont use the F word????..whos an angry little boy then?...tut, tut. HICKS YOU ARE A LEGEND

  • RainaRad:

    " "

Fill in the blanks and get the fuck off my internet!

  • GO fuck yourself rainaRad

  • rainaRAD: Fuck you. Hicks was the best comedian since Carlin. He wasn't an addict when he died, and he spoke the truth about religion.

  • "what is the truth, the truth is what you believe to be true"

How'd you come to that? If I believe theres an elephant riding the bus, must it be true? Does that make all religions true?

I like Hicks, but based on your comments I find it hard to think you do too. Why cant we al just get along, sheesh!

  • yeah you fucking tool, shut the fuck up, you goon!

  • who the fuck do you like .... dane cook? duelling banjo motherfucker.

Free love it don't cost a damn thing.

  • Fuck Dane Cook, he sucks ass!

  • And I quote (you)

"Fuck Dane Cook, he sucks ass!"

    Its the new Gospel

  • here here!

  • god damn it isaac!!! sorry my "friend" has been getting on my youtube account as of late leaving stupid comments! i apologize and completely agree! bill hicks is my hero and if you dont believe me how do you think my friend found this in my favorites?

  • @Merkaba4203 lolz @ ur name

  • awesome.

  • my god i think i just come in my pants...thanks for this backstage stuff!!

  • Fuck yes.

  • Shit! I'd love to see the rest of this. Any chance of that?

  • I'm going to upload it.

  • opiate,

The entire small portion of this back stage interview can be found on the Sane Man DVD (here in North America, the Region-1 release) from RycoDisk. It's a great DVD. Hope I helped my fellow lover Goat Boy lover ...

  • Nice! Thanks a lot. I'll look for it.

  • Hey. So I DL'd Sane Man and this footage isn't on there. Can't find anything called the 'region-1 release'. Is there anything else I might look for to find this?

  • Hey opiate,

Well Region-1 is our North American DVD zone. DVD's are coded with technological regions. our's just happens to be one. The footage, the complete of this behind the scenes segment, is on the Extras, along with a benefit show for a guy named Author and extended Sane Man bits and a small comedy performance from '87 in Houston.

    Hope I helped ...

  • Too bad true talents dye young! R.I.P Bill

  • cool

  • R.I.P Bill

  • RIP Goat Boy

  • it's awsome to see this many people like bill hicks

  • man id love to hear more of this. hicks was great.

  • Get over the bullshit comment. Jesus. I wish I could have heard the rest of his story...

  • In response to Ricks550 saying he "only liked 25% of Bill's material", I will say this: Bill Hicks was not a great comic. He was a great MAN. Some of his routines were funny, some were not so funny. I've watched a lot of Bill's routines, and I find myself smiling and nodding and THINKING a lot more than I find myself guffawing with laughter. What made Bill special was the fact that he always spoke with wisdom, integrity and fearlessness, and these things are good for our souls.

  • In my opinion, Ricks550, I think you'd better go back to your Chubby Brown videos.

However, I respect your right to freely state your beliefs. ...sort of.

  • keep the spirit alive people :)

  • it's mostly not about his material. it's the way he gave the middle finger to what's taken for granted in society and presented a better way of thinking. that he could make people laugh at the same time with a smile on his face was just the icing on the cake.

  • you've "listened to all of them" "i.e. most of them". Hmmmmm... Bill? A lttle help here?

  • i think i don't care what your analysis of him is. the rush limbaugh skit is priceless. this guy is great for that alone.

  • did you do a calculation to come up with that 25% thing personaly i only agree with 1/3 of 2/5 of your comment

  • What? fuck u Ricks550. Thats your opinion on him, he made the truth funny, even when he said something sooo deep you wouldnt know whether to sit there shocked or laugh. He was a true genius. Unlike these fkn fundamentalist you see these days.

  • Ricks550 you are fucking pice of shit waste of space and your comments are gay as you.

So next time you want to say shit keep it to your fucking self

  • Hey Rick, which type of material do you like better? You've caused quite a stir with your opinion, but yet you've failed to fully express it. It's usually not a good idea to say one thing is bad, but without saying which is better. And by the way "most comedians" are the ones raising him up to that level. His peer respect:fan ratio is second to none IMO.

  • Ricks, you suck satans cock.

  • On stage or off stage, still funny as fuck..

  • he is fucken great! I wanted to hear the rest of this! Thanks for posting!

  • fuck i want to hear the rest of that story!

  • Great story. he didnt sell out

  • god look how young he is.. sorely missed

  • This is cool where did you get this? When is it from? Looks like the late 80s sometime. It's cool to see him just hanging out rapping not up on stage entertaining a crowd.

  • Its on the Sane Man DVD as one of the special features.

  • We can all change the world to a better ride. Bill Is A Legend, And Legends Never Truly Die!

  • As Letterman said, "He never disappointed..."

Bill was the best, he was a Silverback among his peers in comedy, and was as honest as the day is long.

  • it was bill's birthday on the 16th , and he would be around 45, he died so young too, such a shame, he is becoming even more relevant aswell, r.i.p great clip

  • Thanks!

  • thanx a million!

  • ow wow I want to see it all where can I find it

  • Bill should be remembered NOW more than EVER. I think any Hicks fan would agree had he not already died he surely would have doing a GW rant :-)

  • cjconn72

where can i find the rest of this clip? its amazing. thanks. Me too!!

  • where can i find the rest of this clip? its amazing. thanks.

  • as it is said by Tool ... another dead Hero ...

  • I was lucky enough to have had the chance to see Hicks open up for Tool back in the early 90's. He was definitely a rare talent.

  • which he kinda coined himself too when hes talking about his dead heros.. the only part of an one of his acts that almost puts a lump in my throat. RIP never forgotten

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS

  • He's so refreshing. I only recently discovered Bill, but with every video I see, I realize more and more what a rare talent he was. I wish I had known him, or could have had a conversation with him. Even with something as simple as anecdotes about shows, I find myself connecting with him right away. We need more people like him around.

  • thought id seen it all ,,, then i found this,, great ,, is there more,, out there ,, somewhere
