I went to Circuit City to pick up my laptop that I dropped off last week. I got three more, technically 5 if you doubles as two, cheeseburgers again. They were great, still not of the quality Buffet sings about, but great. And I watched the Food Network while I ate and there was a special profiling McDonalds and Burger King burgers. It was great.

I also got french fried potatoes again, but this time the large fry. It was glorious.

South Park, as puerile as it may appear, actually does quite a good job with social, political and econimical commentary. Each episode is essentially retelling a familiar and relevant story, in a farcical voice.

Next time, don't be so quick to judge. It comes off as uneducated and stubborn -- at best.

Look here, Vrai01, I've seen more episodes of South Park than I care to admit, and even despite the social commentary, that crass exterior you speak of totally ruins it. There's ways of hiding social commentary under a crass exterior correctly, and there's ways of doing it incorrectly. South Park does the latter. So does Family Guy (except sans social commentary). The Simpsons is the only show I know of that can pull it off.

The Simpsons is excellent. I'll be one of the many to admit that. Still, every show does NOT have to follow suit in order to succeed at giving a message. Personally, I think both shows deal with some of the same, base messages in an equally efficient way. But, there are always different facets of one lesson. The Simpsons show a moral in a cushioned, 'warm' manner -- riddled with indirect innuendo and playing off of the lovable idiocy of Homer. South Park is a bit more blunt. Both are effective.
