  • Loved the video ! Come check out my channel! Xo

  • <3 YOUR VIDEOS!!! i literally could spend the whole day watching them!!

  • @ilovestardoll1523 I just did :O

  • At 9:26 Tyler entered the bathroom. lol...

  • I just use an Afro comb with metal teeth to lift my "do". I have fine hair but alot of it so whenever I need a lift at the crown of my head I need more support than a bobby pin to lift it. the afro comb has so many teeth so you can lift more "area" of your hairdo and they sell them everywhere. They are sooooo cheap also! Love the video, thanks for all the tips.

  • Skip to 3:20 to actually start the subject of the video.

  • @BiggerCityDreamz

    THANK YOUUU!

    lol-she does ramble on!

but i still love her vids

  • @MeraGal - Oh I know me too! It's like watching the news lol :)

  • this is so old!

  • I agree, the makeup sponges are magnificent ^-^

Too bad i'm allergic to them. :/

  • I LOVE your hair in this video! Is there a tutorial for this?

  • when it comes to removing make up, i use cleansing wipes (wet wipes) and right now i'm using the garnier nordic essentials - refreshing cleansing wipes....i love them, my face feels fresh after using one and it get's off all the make up. granted, the mascara is a bit difficult to get off, but other than that they're good ^^

  • BOBBY PINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL Tyler in the background!

  • u go on and on too much in the beginning

  • Great tools!

What foundation/powder/concealer were you using in this video?

  • @MsPaparatz yea she always talks too much

  • who was the guy ur hubby?

  • this was a really helpful video! thank you so much for sharing with us!

  • YOURE MAKEUP LOOKS GORGEOUS!

  • I use my old mascara brush to put ovile oil on my lashes at night, and i conditions them REALLY well, they don't fall out as often, and fewer fall out when they do.It's just really great. :)

  • @kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkatie thanks!!!

  • @meggsterr143 No problem (: Sorry for all the typos, I must've been half asleep while typing that hahaha!

  • lol That poor guy has no clue there is a camera pointing toward the john!!!

  • look at that man. that walked in the bathroom :) lol

  • do they come off when you go to bed?

  • Lash mascara tool is what they call them, so worth trying, not as much for the mascara end, although it is neat, but for the other end that has two differ sizes combs for the lashes. I see them on eBay for about a buck and around 4$ shipping. I don't sell these or anything lol just think they are great, I own 2, same thing just differ looking styles. Took around 2-3 weeks to get it but hey it came from china and I got free shipping

  • Ebay has the coolest eye tools ever, they are little plastic combs that go through your lashes. They make the lashes huge, little plastic comb type thingy, usually pink or blue plastic, the ones I have seen are sold and delivered from china for about a buck with free shipping. They really are the greatest, I wish I knew exactly what they were called, I have never seen them anywhere else and they really differ from the reg lash combs

  • ur reli pretty

  • u look so much like sandra bullock man!!! ur so pretty

  • your awesome...and so are ur videos! =)

  • I love your eye make up in this video

  • I just read an article about hand sanitizer and it is not ture that you can get immune to it. You would have to use over a 20 oz bottle a day for that to happen

  • Hand sanitizer is really bad for your overall health. After some time the bacteria on your body will grow immune to the sanitizer you are using and they could potentially make you sick. So I suggest keeping baby wipes around, anything that doesn't have antibacterial properties.

Save your health now and don't use the hand sanitizer.

  • @crazychild2041 Hand sanitizer is not used systemically, so I don't think we have anything to worry about. It's used for microbes on the outside of your skin that you pick up in the outside world, not for those in the actual blood stream and tissues. It's benefits outweigh its risks, so don't be scared to slather it on.

  • @crazychild2041

*puts on hand sanitizer* Try to stop me XD

  • Wow, your husband looks really good from what I can see. You guys must be the perfect couple, at least looks-wise! Good for you!

  • You are just too damn beautiful.

  • Your hair is like BAM in this video haha. Love it

  • I hate it when that happens. You wake up and theres a nice smear of eyeliner down your cheek. LOL

  • @GreatExpectations111 haha ik i hate that too!

  • I call the hair pins "Bobby Pins"

  • I think your information is phenomenal!!! I am an African American young lady and it works well for me!!! Great Job!!!

  • hey you should have your own show on TV!!!

  • Olive oil makes the best eye makeup remover. Plus it's moisturizing, and inexpensive.

  • the way you explain everything is sooo good! your tips are always very useful!

  • Bobby pin?

  • Those spongetip applicators also work well for clean up if you don't want to carry loose q-tips in your makeup bag which for me always seem to disappear. You can always rinse them or toss them when they're worn down.

I use the small blush brushes to clean my keyboard haha... I've also used them for fallout, and highlighting cheek bones, since they're much smaller than your average blush/contour brush and can give a precise application.

  • I carry the alcohol towelettes in my makeup back because I can carry my foundation in place of a travel sized hand sanitizer bottle... and they're quite cheap and and tiny and do the job.

  • I live in the netherlands,

and those sponge wedges, are like, 3 or 4 sponges for 4/5 dollars. so not like, a whole bag for one dollar. that's a pity

  • oh i didn't know which state?

  • SecretLifeOfABioNerd uses tissue paper for blotting oil. It actually works!

  • thanks for the reviews. youre beautiful =) you look like Erica Durance

  • has anyone ever told you you sound like a reporter? you would be perfect!!

  • That's because she kindda is...shes a morning anchor

  • she's a tv news anchor lol

  • She is :)

  • I went and bought some of the Nailene nails, and omg!!!! I wore them about 6 days before the thumbs came off. I wanted to see how long it took the other 8 to come off before putting them back on and the other 8 nails lasted 2 more days. They are the only brand that makes nails small enough for my nail beds. I have large hands but small nails and it is almost impossible to find fake nails for them, but Nailene makes the perfect sizes.

  • Emily, I love your hair in this video! Did you do anything different?

  • I can´t believe your nails are fake... it don´t even look like acrylics... looks very natural!

  • bobby pins. :)

  • Thanks! you so nice and interesting! <3

  • I'm, sitting here with it right now, and 3/4's of my children. I have four. You are incredibly gracious to your fans. Something I learned from you. Thank you for the wonderful example.

Btw, hand santizers kill bacteria, but are almost useless for viruses. Read the fine print on the packages. Which stinks.

  • seriously! i just cant believe how many great tips you have. i enjoy all your videos and have learned sooo... much from you. thank you for taking time to make videos for us!

  • Thank you that was helpfull!

  • very helpful! some of those things i would have never thought of using like that tin! thank you for the great ideas!

  • Hey guys, I found some e.l.f. brushes and other stuff at Family Dollar!

  • Bought pointed q-tips at Big Lots, actually, one end is pointed the other end is flat and wide, like a generic eyeshadow applicator, 50 or so in a box for under $1.

  • They have a 7-way nail buffer at Dollar Tree.

  • love this video..very helpful..

  • I lvoe your videos... and this one is great too!

its amazing - like the person before me said how immature women can be.

  • "In the presents of negetivity...stay positive. You alone have the power to choose your thoughts." After reading your comments i thought "How immature women are." It seems as though they say things like that to make them feel better about themselves. Let them have there 2 seconds of fame...lol..This is just a phrase that i try to keep in mind when negetivity comes my way. Hope your having a wonderful day!!!

  • That hair pin at 7:11, couldn't you just stretch a bobby pin out and it do the same thing?

  • Good thinking!:)

  • great videos, very pretty girl, but you go on and on and on just rabbling on. Get to the point.

  • She's in the news..it's what they DO! haha ;p

  • Hey Emily. I was wondering if you do any kind of teeth whitening?? Your smile is beautiful and so white! I just wanted to know what you use or do to make them whiter. Thanks so much! xoxo Sara

  • You are too nice to address the fact that someone has the swine flue. If you addressed all of the problems we all are having you'd never have time to do a regular video!

  • Yh i hate the new channels too

  • You should make a Cheap Must-Have makeup brushes video!!! Please!! You are so lovely!!

  • how do you remove those nails???

    great video!!!

  • Sonia Kashuk has a nice spoolie brush for eye brows and eye lashes. It's bent which is nice and only cost $1.99. I won't buy any of her other brushes though because they're animal hair.

  • i keep my mascara leftover brushes..im addicted to the brushes lol

  • awesome tips, i use on of my old precription pill containers for extra bobbie pins,a few q-tips, hair tie and a cotton ball. Excellent storage!!!

  • Can u make some videos for the skin, like best cleansers, anti aging products, and acne products. thanks I love all ur videos!

  • Great video! Very helpful :D Looking forward to ur next video.

  • haaa your just jealous bitch

  • Sponge aplicater great for smudge and work with pigment's

  • how did you do your hair here it looks amazing!!

  • To take off waterproof mascara I put some baby oil (olive oil works fine too) on a tissue and rub it softly across my eyelashes. It might take a while, but it definitely takes it off.

And Emily, I really love how you're all about makeup that everyone can afford. I'm getting kind of tired of all the other gurus always using high-end products. You're amazing! Keep up the great work!

  • thanks for the tip!! i never thought of that... i know what you mean about our makeup gurus using expensive products, i completely agree.

    xx

  • Great tips.

  • Wrap a tiny piece of cotton to the pointy side of Orangewood stick and VOILA! Cleaning in a breeze. The blotting papers. I know this is going to sound icky but, toilet seat cover works just as good! Thanks for everything. Take care and waiting for your next vid!

  • I thought I was the only one that had heard of that tip about the toilet seat covers as blotting paper. I read it in a magazine and brought a whole new package home from the place I work and everyone thought I was crazy but it works as good if not better!

  • Emily, that was a great video-keep them coming. I have some extra-tips to add. To keep your fake nails on longer, buff the nail first with a coarse side (do not buff it soft). While glueing a nail on-let the glue sit for just few seconds before applying it. Also, make sure there is no bubbel when you apply the nail, otherwise it surely will come off earlier then expected. The Orangewood stick can also be used to clean any nail polish mess. continue....

  • you are gorgeous. all-american, refreshing beauty. thanks for what you do, and using "non-snob" make-up...the stuff we can ALL afford. god, i just love you!

  • DITTO here. Well said!!

  • please do a hair tutorial on your hair!

  • EMILY! GIRL UR MAKEUP IS GORGEOUS IN THIS VID! Well I mean...it's always goreous but I really like this!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Altoids containers! Besides looking cool you can use them for anything. I've even thought about making a small shadow pallet out of one.

  • I'm not really an advocate of hand sanitisers beign used all the time, but around food and makeup it's very important if you can't wash your hands. I bet i would help to prevent pimples on yoru skin too ince you're not pushing or touching them with all your hands' bacterium goodness!

  • Emily the black pin that you mentioned for lifting the hair is actually used in india for securing the hair buns. just make a round hair bun and insert them into the hair perpendicular to the skull surface. it helps keeping the bun in place.

  • That's probably where the company got the idea. That's really interesting to know :)

  • you shouldn't buff your nails too often. it makes them thin and weak, but once in a while is ok.

  • Your hair looks gorgeous here!

  • Yes you are a very beautiful lady and I love how you are giving such good info out to all those other beatiful ladies, much love.

    JMH

  • wooow, your hair is pretty voluminous today. very pretty! :-*

  • olive oil can be used as makeup remover it even removes water proof :)

  • love your whole look in this video emily!! your hair and your eyes are just lovely :)

  • can you do a video on this look? you're eyes look fabulous!

  • I've watched all your videos and I am a huge fan, and this look ur wearing is my favourite by far. I think you look beautiful in this video. Could you do a tutorial on this look?

  • I use the pointed q-tips dipped in polish remover for cleaning up around my nail. :)

  • she's talking about swine flu like it's cancer or something. it's not that big of a deal.

  • Good stuff I tell ya! I like the Altoid tin to store my bobby pins! I have grip bp's, non grip, brown and black pins and having them in separate tins really helps!

  • haha it is so hilarious that so many of your videos have tyler in the background going to the bathroom

  • Awesomee..[:

  • do you use the glue that comes in the package with the nails or a different glue??

  • The revlon eye makeup remover pen is AMAZING!

    Great videos, as always! =]

    ~Laur

  • right afer you said altoids container i was like"man i wish i had one" then i was happy to find an empty one in a purse i hadnt used in a while

  • love altoids containers! my bobby pins are stuck to the lid with magnet...i keep extra cash/change in them...drink mix packets, haha - everything BUT altoids.

    great video!

  • what you said about the little drugstore brushes that come in blush pallettes, i have 2 from cover girl blushes that are fairly full and i cut one so it works for concealer and the other i expanded by pushing my finger in the center to make it bigger so it works as a stippling brush

  • your stunning! love your videos.x

  • You look like Sandra Bullock! Gorgeous...

  • Hi Emily!

I've watched your videos for a really long time now and never comment, but I just wanted to let you know that you're so amazing.

Your tips are always so helpful, and useful, and most importantly affordable!

So much of what I do every day make up wise has developed from watching your videos.

And you're always so sweet and personable, I always fee like you're talking right to me, not a camera, lol.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the work you do for us!

  • i think U-Pin is the right name~

anyway, i call them u-pin as well

  • This tips are really original and i'll certainly use most of them.

  • Thanks for the info especially the fake nails info. I find it very useful.

  • those hairpins, are called Bobby pins: D

well atleast we call them that in Canada:P

  • bobby pins are closed

  • yeah we call them bobby pins or hair pins in ireland

  • i call those pins "U-pins", but i'm not sure if this is right...

  • Emily love your videos but maybe make them a little shorter or in episodes....just my thought ....these tips are fab thanku xoxo

  • so so gorgeous. you. are. GORGEOUS!

  • thanks 4 the tips...they are great

  • its not a beta channel though

  • ur G8

  • Thanks!!! This is really helpful!!

  • I have acrylics, but those nails look pretty darn good!

My random beauty tool, you know, toilet seat covers, are made of the same material as blotting papers, so when I go to the bathroom and i'm out shopping or whatever I try to use those! Sounds weird, but hey it works in a pinch. Oh and q-tips are the best thing ever! I use so many every day.

  • lol. I thought I was the only one.

I worked at a restaurant for a while and all that running around caused me to oil up... and i would use the rougher side of the toilet seat cover to blot my face.. =)

  • I use a depotted NYX Trio container to carry beauty odds & ends in purse -- it's wonderful and compact.

    Thanks for sharing. Blessings.

  • Ur such a nice, caring, sweet person;-) I luv all that u teach n share w/us..thank u much:-)

  • Good Video......Thanks!!

  • great video thank you

  • I notice you know the lingo and am guessing you've worked as an artist? Probably for Bobbi? Either that or you're one very good customer. Love hearing your opinion!

  • I carry sanitizer and also have it in every room. I've always been germophobic. Gorgeous nails. I don't care for sponge tip apps. I just keep them around for my nieces when they want to use some eyeshadow. I don't let anyone use my brushes. Thanks for the cool idea for old mascara wands. Other combs don't do well. I've tried all the liquid brand name makeup removers but nothing beats Walmart's brand expholiating wipes at least for me. Great vid Emily.

  • Love the Altoid can idea...great way to be Green and recycle, but also have those little necessities on hand to keep beautified!

  • Emily..me again. I also can't live without this Beauty Blender sponge. You wash them so actually they are cheaper than buying the little ones and throwing them out. They also reduce the amount of trash. When you are finished with it you can send it back to the company and they somehow dispose of it or recycle them somehow. I went it and it feels so nice and gives such a nice finish. Thanks

  • I have been searching for this Revlon eye make up remover since you mentioned a long time ago.Where did you get it? A beauty tool that I could never live without is a magnifying mirror with a light around it. If one can't afford one with a light I would get just get a magnifying mirror. I am fair and carry Neutrogena baby SPF of 60 in stick form with me.Because it is in stick form you can carry it on a plane. The baby formula is great for sensitive skin and you don't even get your hands messy

  • omg ive never seen thoes qtips before im gunna go get some now thanks for this video it helped alot i use the mint contanor for my big bills cuz its safe lol cuz no one would think to look in there well unless they want a mint haha you looked gorgeous as usual

  • so..about those lovely nails...when you decide to remove them, is the glue difficuilt to get off? What are your techniques?

  • also the pointy q tips are awesome for cleaning up nail polish that's gotten on the skin around the nail bed

  • Love the altoid container tip!

  • fyi about sponges- there's two types- latex and latex free. Latex free works best for m.u.a. in case a client is allergic to latex and fails to mention it ;)

  • I save all the small brushes to help clean my saddles. They fit in tight spots.

Works great. Great for cleaning the car too. Fits around the vents and things.

  • Loved fan brush idea!

    Inexpensive beauty tools:

    - spray bottles for your make up eye remover and skin tonic - will save you a lot of money. Use three spray morning and night of my tonic and have saved so much. Using a small bottle, refilling it once every 5 months! Think it was 2.00!

    - Essence of beauty brush cleaner 6.00!

    - Baby wipes to clean brush, hands, make up fall out and your make up table after use. 2.00!

    - Q-tips! 2.00

    - Hand sanitizer (5.00 for 5 at Bath & Body W)

    - Shine eraser!

    <3

  • guys, honestly... its not a ghost. its just her camera with the light playing off of it... dur!!

  • In second :20 to :22 u can see like an orb in front of the closet going up. can u see it.

  • its a ghost!!!!!

  • have you ever thought about doing a fashion video?

i would really be interested in watching it.

  • those are wig pins! :D

  • Emily You are just as beautiful on the inside as you are the outside! Really enjoy your videos, they are great makeup tips for women like me they dont have alot of money but still want to look nice thanks

  • wow, i really love the altoid container idea!

    im actually gonna try that....
