  • Excellent informative video. Can you tell me how your castings colored with non traditional methods are holding up? Any sign of deterioration, cracking etc?

What kind of resin are you using? Thanks

  • @MicrocastMolds I basically use eyeshadows for all my colored resin and they are perfectly fine. :) The acrylic paint one however took months to dry and then when it finally dried it shattered. I really dont use paint for resin since i think its better to buy casting pigment made by the resin companies.

  • @ivanaokay

Thank you. Oh .. and your brand of resin?

  • @MicrocastMolds I have used both CastingCraft and Envirotech.

  • awesome, great tip!

  • Cool thanks.. I just ordered some and should get it in a month :) great video.. thanks again

  • Does the oyumaru make your resin pieces shiny when you pop them out

  • @gibsonerina yes, not super super shiny but still its a WAY BETTER shine than mold putty. with amazing mold putty the pieces are very dull.

  • Hello :)

    I like this:D

The purple clay is dry ?:D

  • @Nyafillia i didn't use clay in this video. do you mean my purple bow mold?

  • can you use nail polish?

  • @TheFimoLady i dont think it would be a good match since nail polish dries in water. but feel free to try it out

  • thanks a lot, in gonna try diferent ways to color it too; again thanks a lot

  • @utena07 no problem. glad you learned from the video. :)

  • You're a life and money saver!! Thanks so much for the video! I didn't even think of using eyeshadows!

  • @pandocynthia Deffinitely try it out to see if you like the result. If not, then you can buy the resin pigments at the store :) your welcome

  • Great Video so much help, oh and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Hello Kitty and your pink bow so AMAZING, GIMMIE GIMMIE :)

  • @Alovelygemini ^_^ thanks, im glad its helping people

  • tell me again the name of that mold you can reuse over and over?

  • @Mokeyfrog Its called Oyumaru. They are plastic sticks that you melt and use for a mold. I might have a video soon about it.

  • when i used paint it never dried

  • @puppyprincess12345 That means you used too much paint. Unless you can only put the size of half a pea then i'd suggest using pigments. Also stir it well.

  • What type of reusable mold is that? If you could link me or even give me the name to search that would be awesome. Very informative video, thanks :)

  • @DanielleNicole9997 Its called Oyumaru. I bought my packs from ebay. They've gone up in price now. I'm glad I can help!

  • i love your bow's!!

  • @MiZzRiVeRa86 thanks :)
