that was my jaw you needed to pick up off the floor! I am speechless! Who allowed this to get this way? Beyond repair - for demolition only should think, if not already gone... haven't lived in Doncaster for twenty years. I'm disgusted.
The building was once the Girls' High School in Watergate, Doncaster. Later it became part of Doncaster Grammar School, which became Hall Cross School about 1983. It was a lovely building to be taught in, with lots of light and an impressive staircase and a replica of the 'Venus de Milo' in the entrance, and wooden painted Honours' boards. It seems very sad to see the building in such a state. Wouldn't you have thought at least the piano could have been given away to someone?

How sad. I was a pupil in this school. Reminds me how transient we all are. It was such a beautiful building and such a good school.
