@gnarleypunkroker5 That really depends, there are strats with large pockets, but that is a very small detail.

sweet vid..im gonna hope for the best when i remove the pick guard on my fender strat tomorrow...i hate the single coils and want to get some symour duncan blackouts for it.....i'll have my local shop do it though since im not good at soldering :P

@Minority721 It would be the cost of the pickup plus like $10. Thats the labor rate at the guitar shop where I live.

@SaveFace23 Yes, series is a dark high gain tone, while parallel is the exact opposite. Parallel is like the 2 or 4 position in a strat except its the one pickup.

cutting the pickguard sounds alot easier because i wanted to buy an hss pickguard but it has 2 screw holes on the left side of the humbucker and idk why. anyone answer that for me?

gobo i did it i cut the pickguard and put my humbucker than i took my guitarto a music shop and they installed it for me

@Greenday48078 A humbucker is two coils wired in series to create a dark very high output and dark tone. Also because it is in series, it is hum canceling so it is silent.
