Wow they are super cute i love rats but my mom dosen't so unfortunatly i couldn't get two. But she did let me get two mice. Also Really really sorry about your loss of Fudge even though i never met her she look like a happy rat with you.

@meroptixbih Mine hated water...she got really freaked out even If I was just washing her tail or something. Alot of them do though it depends on the rat

get them to fish for peas and corn and in no time they will be wading in it... then just increase the depth by a *little* each day ;)

Lol i only thought Holly was weird doing that. I have 3 other dumbos and they dont do it. If i give Holly a treat i cant let her choose from her treat pot because she tests them all lol and we would be there all day. Glad shes not the only one :)

Rats life span can vary but i think 2 years is a good age for a female and 3 years is good for a male rat.

I had a big fat ratty named Basil. He was adorable.

Now I have 3 troublesome little fellas who tried out pea fishing for the first time today, they loved it!

From primary school in fact, it was the song used in the school dance group (that I DIDNT get into haha) and I'd always sit and watch them, sing along and I even remember some of the steps.

so cute, i lost my jerry about 2 weeks ago, poor boy, he was 1 year old, lung problems, my little boy chaz has got big tumor that iv noticed i take him tommorrow to vets i hope they can save him poor little man, i have two others ben and dave, bens very big and was jerry's best mate, i think he missed him for a while, he was really quite for a week

I had 2 brothers earlier in the year and one of them died, Reggy who was left without a brother changed loads, not being with his brother was very hard. Just keep an eye on him and give him lots of cuddles :)

I just use frozen peas and put them straight into water, one of there favourite treats :)

I've been thinnk about adoping some - I have two girls of about a year at the mo. Would it be okay to intergrate younger girls or would it be too much stress?

It can be done, but if introductions are not successful...please be prepared to have 2 seperate cages.

I have done 5 introductions so far and only 1 has been unsuccessful!

Alot of it is down to patience and you would have to have a spare cage for the new girlies to settle in then introduce daily on neutral terrortory till they become friends. you can message me if you would like more advice :)
