Had a flat mate from Iran who wore the burqa. Every time mum and dad who had been married 50 years came to see me it was a big fuss about being covered before dad could come in. The Burka should be banned, I am not allowed to walk into a bank wearing a motorcycle helmet because it hides my face and I am a born and bred Australian! The only necessary covering in islam is the hijab wich covers the hair and you can see the face. In no way is a woman made to wear one by her husband, or father or any male figure. It is 100% her choice, and by liberal law this is perfectly fine.

The Burqa is not necessary by Quranic law, but the hijab is. The Burqa is by some considered taking an extra step in the right direction religiously, and brings one closer to Allah. The only necessary covering in islam is the hijab wich covers the hair and you can see the face. In no way is a woman made to wear one by her husband, or father or any male figure. It is 100% her choice, and by liberal law this is perfectly fine.
