everybody taht makes those benchmarks on this part makes me laugh yea you might be able to play with a smooth 30 fps..but that is the less computer demanding part of the game..that means that once at snow levels youll drop to like 18 maybe 20 fps wich is unplayable. therefore you cannot run that game maxed out

Always go with EVGA. i have an EVGA 9800GT and can play this game on 2x AA and all setting Very High excapt Shaders... Shaders are on high. Also, if u get "RealLifesis" mod. it ups the graphics and ups performence so its like playing on ultra high on a 9800GT =]

if 20 fps is your average at these settings then yes I could see that but 30-35+ fps in crysis as an average requires at least a GTX 200 series card or dual 9800GTs!

depends on the settings, for Very High detail at more than 1440x900 I'd agree. but a 9800GT is good enough for High Detail, 1280x1024 with more than 40 fps average

I'm building a computer right now with a XFX 9800 GTX+, Intel core 2 Quad Q6700, ASUS P5N-D 750 MBU, OCZ StealthXstream 600 Watt PSU. Looks like crysis will run perfectly :D. and 60 fps on a GT will probably like 65 or 70 on a GTX overclocked

v1lle3, how do you get on 15 to 30 normally, i run mine at the same res, with aa and all on very high and get 40 to50 at the least 30fps, and i only have pentium dual core2ghz, 2 gig ram, and an xfx nvidia geforce 9500gt, gddr3,600/1200mhz,.

i will suggest to all ppl, defragment your ram, it helps so much!

Do you have XP or Vista? XP gets much better fps. If you have Vista, then it´s very strange :/ Sure you have Shaders and Shadows Very High too?

ive got vista, but the dell tune up utilitys may have helped me alot, i often defrag my ram alot an much more to keep my system running smooth. whats your clocks on the card you have? And yes im very sure as im alive that its all on very high shaders and all. Its just the xfx card. i found that xfx makes better performing cards than most.

yes it does. with 32-bit, the OS only uses around 3gb of the available 4gb. But with 64-bit, you don't have that problem :D I have 4gig right now on Vista 32-bit, and when i go to the system properties, it says 3070gb of RAM.

i have 4gb ram in a 32x os vista home premium but i dose not show all 4gbs. but upgrading to vista ultimate 64x will increase speed because all 4gbs are being used. hope this helps

Dude play on DX9 and you will get 15 to 20 fps increase even on higher resolution that res sucks.And for some reasen crysis is not taking atvantage of your quad...

yeah there is if you have your game intall in the games folder right click and you will see dx9.And trust me dx10 has better effects but in the res yo are playing you wont notice.DX9 higher res all high looks insane.And i have vista ultimate and i play dx9.Dont belive me check out my vid in my page.

if you asking what to buy... Q9300 because is little bit more expensive but its 45nm (lower power consumption & faster). E8400 got nice frequency but with 4 cores you can preform more task at one time (now im playing GRiD, rendering two videos and extracting 4.9GB .RAR file... everything smoothly). Be sure to buy 2GB+ memory.

Q6600 is 65nm procesor which have bigger power consumption and its a little bit slower than Q9300. Althought im going to buy new motherboard which allows me to overclock my current CPU to 3GHz. Currently i dont have money for watercooling (lot of other things to buy) so im happy enought with my 6 fans :-) (36 - 42°C on CPU)

Try to run it without sound, i know that some games very ugly lags caused by soundcard problem (Juiced, Undercover etc.)

Got latest drivers, latest updates on Windows, I dont know if the game is patched, but its weird. When I had Windows 32 bit i could only use 3.25gb ram and multi core processor, then i had around 150 fps on most games, now when i got windows Vista ultimate 64 bit i get around 50 fps max and i can use my 6gb ram and quad core x.x
