i was born and raised in Gary (very proud by the way) i no longer live there but it is pretty sad... i love gary no matter how tore down the city becomes.... Gary is where i was born my father and my mother but lets face the city is a shit hole i dont know any real rich people that live there....nontheless i love Gary and it will always be apart of me!
im a 30 year old white guy who goes for treatment 3 days a week in Gary , and i also work in Gary doing construction for the revitilization efforts as a sub contractor. I love Gary and the people of Gary . The people here are friendly and hospitable and i'am all over town. this town was vacated after the mills went down and suffered a horrible crack epeidemic of an epic scale that shook the town to its core. there are good people in Gary who are sticking around for the youth and future who care.
Guns knives and Marijuana impede schooling. Those things are ok everywhere else just not at school. I kinda get your point I guess it is a community thing. You know one thing that really trips me out like you facination with this sign is in East Chicago Indiana at alot of stop signs the are doubled-up, one on top of another...like you really should stop at this one???????? A fucking stop sign is a stop sign wht two??? but after a couple months in the area I started rollong through them Too.

All these towns have crazy White people who commit more crimes than blacks and than dump there their dirt in my home town Gary.And Sir Steve why are u makin fun of my city when all hobart has is Trigger happy red necks.

My opinion? My opinion is that a "gun free zone" is always going to be a dangerous zone. I'm betting that no one that attends the school can legally carry a firearm anyway... but you get the idea. I regularly disregard these signs in normal public places (not excluded to me by state law), and carry my firearm, anyway.
Those stupid signs never do anything. Waste of money.

living in glenpark you usually heard guns go off and so on..
i moved to hobart since my mom wanted to and im white.. if you're white living there its a bit rough time
