But from the private investigators her parents hired, and using the photos and videos she took on the day of her death, they suspect that Boomer bolted after a jump, like he always does, and she tried to run him into the fence as always, and he was going too fast and tripped, and then fell on her. she was unable to stay on because she was riding bareback.
As jess's parents said - Boomer already put away in the pasture. Craig called out for her, but she did not answer so he went to the tack room and found it was still open, so he knew she hadn't put Boomer away. He then went to look for her and found her lying outside the arena, she was already gone. Boomer was not with her, the saddle was hanging on the fence, and he was later found outside his pasture about 300 yards from Jessica, wearing his bridle and dragging the broken reins.

I knew Jess. Not personally but we talked almost everyday. She had a heart like no other. She was kind and gentle. But the true story (most likely may not be true) is that Boomer atempted to jump the arena fence, Jess didnt tell him to, and got his hooves caught, flipped over and killed her. They found her laying outside the arena fence.

This is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. What a tragedy. She was obviously a very talented equestrian. The joy of being with her beloved horse is plain to see by the ever present smiles on her face. As a parent I can't even imagine suffering such a loss. As a horse person I know the dangers. Thanks for thinking of her TEFgirl4ever, I didn't know Jessica but I was very sad when I heard about her death, and very amazed at what a talented person she was!

It doesnt matter how she died. She was my best friend. I knew her for 2yrs and talked to her on myspace daily, but never got to meet her in person. Nobody knows what really happend but they know it wasnt 4' jump because she wouldnt put her and Boomer's life in danges like that. We do know she was riding bareback and had a helmet on. They found her on the ground with her skull crushed and neck broken wih Boomer right next to her. She died instantly and pain free.

I knew Jess. Not personally but we talked almost everyday. She had a heart like no other. She was kind and gentle. But the true story (most likely may not be true) is that Boomer atempted to jump the arena fence, Jess didnt tell him to, and got his hooves caught, flipped over and killed her. They found her laying outside the arena fence.

i didnt personally no Jessica but Looked like an amazing Rider and an amazing person,
its so terrible that she died at such a young age,
you can see in her videos she loved her horse so much and they had an amazing bond
she had a real gift,

RIP Jess its a sad and terrible thing when girls with such love and talent are taken I lost a friend to a very similar incident and as much as we can remember and cherish her spirit nothing can take away just wanting to know god bless she was with her boy thats the only place i would want to be when my time comes with my horse ! As long and we remember the chances we take and the freedom we borrow froma horse when astride then no death like this can ever be in vain . RIP Jess

Jessica life was cruel to u. Its took u too young. Boomer loved u though. He never wanted to hurt u in any way. Jess he didn't want to end ur life but sadly that's what was destined for u. This is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. What a tragedy. She was obviously a very talented equestrian. The joy of being with her beloved horse is plain to see by the ever present smiles on her face. As a parent I can't even imagine suffering such a loss. As a horse person I know the dangers. My condolences to her family and friends. Jessica will always be with you in your hearts.

I dont know Jessica or the family. Just stumbled upon this video. I am so sorry for your loss. Such a gifted and beautiful young lady. A tragic loss for all that knew her and would've known her. It doesnt matter how she died. She was my best friend. I knew her for 2yrs and talked to her on myspace daily, but never got to meet her in person. Nobody knows what really happend but they know it wasnt 4' jump because she wouldnt put her and Boomer's life in danges like that. We do know she was riding bareback and had a helmet on. They found her on the ground with her skull crushed and neck broken wih Boomer right next to her. She died instantly and pain free.
