Music evolves. If there are a lot of mickey mouse beats, probably a lot of people like it. It's just a matter of taste and perception.

Earlier people thought buddy holly was a young rockpunk, Nirvana was just loud noise and hiphop was nothing but stolen music. Guess that perception changed when people started to like it.

Plastic beats are a part of todays music and will lead to other genres. Home-studios are gaining ground, even with big musicians.
