The temperatures are higher when there is snow on the ground, as it absorbs the cold...a natural insulation....It would be much, much colder there if you didn't have the snow....

apparently the we're going to get snow for the next 2 months and it will get worse. It's possible it could turn worse than last year!! I hope so, means no school :)

In the province of Quebec... 20 centimeters is a small storm. We are talking about big storm when we receive 50 cm+. Christianna, what would be the Normal situation for the UK in this pediod of the year?

@tubeseek41 Well it can snow late December. But this year and last is another story. This is in another league. It's also the Arctic air which is chilling to the blood. I have NEVER known it this cold before. 50 cm must be a nightmare. What temperature is average there when it snows?

@ChristiannaGarrett1 We usually have our first accumulation of snow around mid november. normal temp in january is about -8C in daytime and -18C in night time. But we usually have snowstorm when the temperature is around -5 C. The snowstrorms usually come from the east coast of US. Lately I have seen the jet stream going from east to west in the north of Canada. It's not normal ! Is the gulf stream stopped or ???

If the gulf stream has gone then it's all over for Northern Europe and the best people will be able to do is eat each other and maybe their own children which is historically what happens and is probably better for the kids than listening to the retard parents

@jcattera Who me? Or UK in general? Oh I forgot I have taken a video of empty shelves. You have reminded me. I must put it up! Umm, no not really. The day food shortage is announced, is when the UK will stampede the aisles knocking everyone out of the way. It's just like the sales. Me, I have about 3 years worth of food but not enough water yet. Mind you...Will I need it?? That is the question.
