My computer meets the (extremely high for just-an-OS) system requirements for Vista, but I don't use this crap because:

-It's slow, ugly (Only very specific people find the Vista design good looking), unsecure (Anyone with a virus on Linux?) and unstable.

-It's a complete rip off of Mac OS X and Linux/Gnome/Compiz-Fusion.

-They cloned the Unix security model in an awful way that does not protect your computer but only annoys you. (The run as admin thing)

-It's hardly compatible with XP.

In 5yrs of XP 3 BSODs. Since Vista Ultimate installed on 5month old computer just 2 months ago, 3 BSODs. Now I come onto YouTube to check videos with BSODs and I get BSOD'd. That is not only great timing but a message to go back to Win XP! or maybe it's time to check out Linux! I hear Sabayon Linux is Italian and tastes fast, sweet and simple after a burnt steak like Vista! ;)

I use Ubuntu+XGL+Beryl and it's fast and sweet.

I run Windows programs with Wine and if needed on a virtual machine.

I also have XP on a dual boot.

The future is Linux - The future is a PENGUIN.

Well, I like both Mac and Linux.

Both are Unix-like, so it's not a big problem to port an application from Mac to Linux or from Linux to Mac.

This will give everyone the freedom of choice when it comes to OS. :)

Vista is a bad OS which is simply XP with tons of useless graphical effects that take extra CPU.

XP with skinning program looks better than Vista. Google Desktop is much better than spot... Wait I forgot that Vista ripped it off the Mac.

Anyway, Since Microsoft know we like the BSOD they decided to add The RSOD.

Now when Windows crashes you get BSOD and when it fails to boot you get RSOD.

And just search in Youtube for "Vista crash" or "Vista BSOD". You owe me $100,000 now, But I won't mind. :)
