i don't know where all the drugs conversation came from. I never understand why people will ever think drugs make anyone better at anything.....they impair you, remember? Sure there are functioning druggies/alcoholics...but never will anyone ever be able to be as good as they are sober. To state otherwise means you have a drug problem or you're stupid. LOL

I told Stevie after he played Als Bamboo on New years eve in Dallas his music made me feel better than any drugs could. Anyone know what year that was? 81-82 I do believe. At the time I thought damn pay $10 to see Stevie. Sure glad I did. He gave me 2 guitar picks too.

This tune is called "Chateau Strut", there's a little cut from the song on the Double Trouble album as a hidden track. Doyle Bramhall plays this song on his new album as well. I love it a lot, Stevie was really on that night (as always, lol). I just can say WOW. Miss you Stevie.

The drugs have a way of reducing your output. It simply wears down the body. In his case he almost died while on tour in Europe from the drugs and alcohol for way too many years. There also was a 6-10 month period loss where he was in rehab where he could of produced another album. He even admits that his playing was not to the level he is able- because of all that shit he was addicted to. Simply put ...burning out. Music is my drug so I don't need it. But many musicians .........well.....
