What appears below is a quote from what this guy wrote in national interest in May 2011 after bin Laden was captured titled "Punishing Pakistan"
It is a joke that he is considered "an expert".
He is "willing to tolerate terrorism against India because it is the democratic will of the people of Pakistan".
Just inter-change the words "India" and "the West" in the quote, and this guy would be sitting in cage in Guantanamo rather than being enthusiastically interviewed by an empty-head.
"I—like many other observers and, indeed, officials—was prepared to extend a measure of tolerance to the Pakistani military for its shelter to the leadership of the Afghan Taliban and past support for terrorist attacks on India (if only because this so clearly reflected the democratic will of the great majority of Pakistanis), as long—but only as long—as they genuinely and effectively cooperated in preventing terrorist attacks on the West"
Pakistan is a basket case. Mullas..Jihad..illeteracy..population..militancy..military..ISI..GOV..corruption..uncivilized population..no respect from others..Can't tolerate other religion..arms proliferation..nuclear proliferation..failure of good administration..bad infrastructure..poor maintanance of the DAMs..almost all Dams catchment area are silted..Don't know the priorities of the govt..Mil takes almost evrythng..Blame India for all ITS problem..this is called Pakistan.
Yes the country is hard even harsh in many aspects, but its this harshness which makes the people stronger than its adversaries. The only thing holding back the Pakistani people is the absence of significant land reform. If you think of the concept of a rotten borough where the landowner owns the voters and the elected official, then Pakistan is a rotten country. Its hope in the future is not in western style democracy, nor in tribal allegiances but rather to fulfil its destiny as a muslim state
british didnt do shitt, its our tribes who fought the first war in 1948 for pak, da army british gave us refused to fight against india, so we made our army by ourselfs n with the help of many nations( military aids or buying weapons).
Good info.
