  • this is really scary, I did not know about this....thank you for posting it...

  • My friend is 27 and was just diagnosed in January. She is now 8 months along and undergoing chemo. She has to have a double masectomy and hysterectomy after the baby is born in a few weeks She will then undergo radiation as well. Sadly, this is what had to happen for us to learn about IBC. I can't comprehend why more information isn given to women on this terrible type of cancer.

  • NONE of women deserve Breast Cancer, but it just happens. Thanx for postin this vid. Come on ladies lets stand up 4 breast cancer once and for all!!

  • It should also be noted that IBC closely resembles eczema. I had a strange looking "mark" come up on my breast recently and my Dr. was concerned that I had IBC. This is a very aggressive form of cancer and is also very rare. If you even suspect that you have this get to your Dr. right away and get checked. Do research also on IBC, eczema, and Paget's Disease of the nipple.

  • A friend is suffering from this condition after previously having breast cancer 2 yrs ago. I never new about this until now. Thanks for the insight. I will certainly spread the wisdom!

  • I will e-mail everyone in my addrress book with this valuable informative video . Thank you for opening my eyes to this horrible disease.

  • my mum has just been diagonised with IBC 3 days ago.. like many others it was firstly suspected to just be an infection.. it is in the early stages but has spread to under her arm. I am realy scared as I am 20 years old n still need my mum and so do my sisters. Thank you soo much for posting this video. I had never heard of IBC until my mum was diagonised. Everyone in the world need to know.

  • Hey... my mum was diagnosed at the end of may... she has stage three and it had hit her lynth nodes... her Chemo is going well, though she suffers badly with the side effect.. stay positive, I know thats difficult in the early days... and give your mum love and cuddles, she'll need them...Make every day count... if you wanna PM me, please do, am happy to give you a first hand account of what its like to see your mum go through it..it does get easier, I promise. xxx

  • it is extremely important for every woman to know about IBC. being the rarest form of breast cancer, it is often neglected as a diagnosis.Recently i have done preliminary research into why IBC is caused (wether it is genetic, environmental, etc.) and it really opened up my eyes to the problems which women face. Thanks for posting. It really does make a difference.

  • I was on the jury for a malpractice suit over 20 years ago, because the doctor didn't diagnose the IBC. I cannot believe it's still not widely known today. Good video. Good info.

  • My friend Meg Fox died from this very type of breast cancer in February.

  • I hope millions of women see this video. Thank you so much.

  • Thank u 4 sharing this information. I will email everyone I know about IBC.

  • Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it.

  • wow, very informative...thnks

  • Thanks for posting this.I am sending the link to every woman I know.Kind of scared now though,I do self exams& have a mammogram once a year but have something new to discuss with my doctor.Again, thank you.Ladies, let's take this seriously, not the place for spamming!

  • My mother doesn't have IBC but she has breast cancer and it has spread to many places in her body. She'll be on chemo the rest of her life, its tough. I wish you, your Mothers, and your families the best and I will keep you all in my prayers. Be positive, and enjoy your time together. Be sure to say I Love You everyday, even if thats the only thing you call to say.

  • Thank you for posting this here i think by sharing this you may just save someones life.

  • This is a very serious, mostly misdiagnosed disease. My beautiful sister in law is in the last stages of the disease, and was diagnosed less than a year ago. Fight, kick and scream. Make sure someone listens to you if you are having these symptoms!

  • My mom died june 18 2001 after being diagnosed with stage 4 IBC. She was 58. IBC victims are much more likely to die than "lump" type breast cancers. What I would recommend to anyone diagnosed with an "infection or mastitis" is to get a second opinion -quickly. It is beatable if caught early and attacked aggressively. Do not allow substandard treatment. This is life or death for you and your family, do not be afraid of hurting feelings.

  • My mother was diagnosed two days ago. They are waiting a week to do the PET scan and it's driving me crazy. She has been showing symptoms for over a month now and the doctors kept putting her on antibiotics or saying it was "probably post traumatic stress" (she went through chemo and radiation for a different type of breast cancer earlier this year). i am worried for my mom. it's good to read so many other people's stories, even though many of them end in death. thank you for posting this.

  • my mom was diagnosed about 8 months ago. luckily she only has stage 1. she is starting kemo in a week. TouShay, what kind did you have?

  • my mom just found out she has this and it has spread to her liver please keep her in her prayers

  • Thank you for posting this video... AWARENESS is what's needed! I am a survivor of Breast Cancer and I am in contact with Patti from this video. She as you and many work hard at getting a message to the world! Sadly, Patti's daughter has recently passed away...(Bless her) Never stop sharing the awareness I'm livingproof...Bless all. Shay
  • Hi Shay,

Yes, Patti has been in contact and shared the news of her daughter with me recently. Bless them both.

I want to wish you all the best and carry on!!! While I do not have cancer, a very good friend of mine has had it and I do this for her and for everyone affected.

    Best wishes!

  • What's causing this? 10 years ago, you never even heard of this stuff? And it's happening to younger, and younger women, every year? It kinda makes you get paranoid and wonder, what the hell is going on here?!

  • I agree with you. Something is definitely going on...

  • I agree as well...

Is there more in statistics or are we speaking out more...mine has been found to

be more random rather than through the family blood...I did a testing. Medical science doesn't gaurantee that but to their knowledge that is the result. So...Enviromental?

  • My Mom has just been diagnosed with Breast cancer, and her breast looks just like this, only extremely bruised. She did the same thing: waited to find a lump or something... she never found one. Now we've been told it's in her spine and liver, and basically all over. She just started Chemo treatements, but we've been told she only has 18mths, to 8 years to live... it's just horrible! I'm calling this number!!

  • This is very informative. I will be posting this video to my myspace page that has been created to help raise money to help find a cure for cancer. Please stop by my website cafecure

  • my mom has this. after seeing this she went to the doctor and found out she had it.

but since she has been diagnosed she hasnt had one treatment of kemo...

    or anything for that mattter.

all that she takes is a light pain killer.

anyone who has a family member with this. or who has had it please message me

  • My mother is dying of breast cancer....breast cancer sucks!!!!!! A family friend died at 34 of IBC...left behind her 3 year old daughter and hubby. Cancer SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • My wife had this, it was found too late she lived 3 yrs after having treatment

  • Hopefully this video will make YouTube history by the most hits since this site began! This will save lives! It's time for all men and woman know that there is more than one type of breast cancer and YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A LUMP TO HAVE BREAST CANCER! My daughter is a ten year ibc survivor who continues to do remarkably well. Please pass this video on to everyone you know; this is extremely important for teenagers as well!

  • No! Ten years old? I would never have thought a child would have such a thing. I'm so glad she is okay and I hope she has a long and happy life. Love to you all. xx

  • I am going to the OB-Gyn doctor immediately. Thanks for the info.

  • I was diagnosed with breast cancer last march and i have never heard of this type of breast cancer, i sent this to everyone i know!!! thank you for posting this...

  • I was diagnoised with breast cancer 7 yrs ago. When this video was sent to me I sent it to everyone in my address book. This a very informative video. Thanks for making this video available. God Bless You! We need to educate each other.

  • a lady i knew died of breast cancer :(

  • So sad what cancer does to everyone. And how it affects the lives of those around the victims.

    Dawn's family and friends

  • My mum had it for two years and died from it because it spread to her bones. It moves fast and is very hard to detect. Watch out for inverted nipples and hot redness with no lump. But you CAN recover from it. I know someone who has and has been in remission for 10 years.

  • Thank you for keeping this video going

  • when she was diagnosed, she was still breast feeding her baby girl and the doctor prescribed her antibiotics

  • thank you for this video!!! my 27 year old cousin passed away from invasive inflammatory carcinoma after a year long battle with it.

  • This really hits home. Thank you. My mom has had IBC for about two months now. Once again thank you.

  • Thank you for visiting and for the comment. Very, very best wishes to your mother!

  • Thank you very much for the info. I did not know.

Now I can get myself checked for other kinds of breast cancer.

  • Actually i am a 49 year old male but i am deeply concerned about this issue having seen what my mother went through herself. It seems universally women are generally at far more risk healthwise than men. I was told my mum having IBC made me genetically prone to prostate cancer(?). The only things we can do is eat well, exercise and keep watch on any bodily changes. I hope they find a cure though soon.

  • Thank you for your message. A Mexican lady i know had a double masectomy some years back and is doing great now after IBC was diagnosed. This lady was always a health fanatic so it was SO truly unbelievable. The thing about this type is that it's very often wrongly diagnosed by medics. I was shocked to see that it can't be detected on mammagrams. It' so important for all women to regularly keep a check. Best wishes to you.

  • I agree. I hadn't heard of it either until after a great friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer...and her's wasn't IBC. There should be plenty of education about ALL types of breast cancer out there. We are women...so let's stick together and pass this on to as many of us as possible!

  • I agree with you 100%. All women should be educated on this devastating disease. It is said that only a small percentage of woman have IBC, but that is too many in my opinion. Let's hope passing this on will help to save lives!

  • Back in 1996 my mum had a red, warm mark on her breast. She thought nothing of it. The doc prescribed anti-biotics, said it was an 'infection'. 2 wks later it got worse, the nipple reverted. She was sent for tests and IBC was diagnosed. It spread quickly to her bones and she died a year later (58 yrs old). IBC is rare and not many know about it. Spread the word boldly. I wish you well.

  • Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother to this disease. I saw an online newscast how 10 million people have now viewed this video (from the original newscast and download, as well as many other ways)...that's 10 million more people educated. I ask that everyone do as you asked here: spread the word boldly.

Thanks for your comment and best wishes!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I had never heard of this type of breast cancer. I have only recently found out about Paget's carcinoma-this is the first I've ever heard of this. I'm gonna send this to as many female family members/acquaintances as possible.

  • Please do. The more education out there, the better chances of survival. Thanks for your comment!

  • very informative- women- we need to pass this video on to our family and friends, we need to know as much about breast cancers as possible. Thank you for this. Peace & Love-

  • You are very welcome and please, pass it on to as many women as possible, and ask them to do the same.

  • You got my word- may I have permission to blog this video on my Final Justice Blog project or elsewhere. I always like to ask people if I can use their stuff or post it elsewhere. I will again in return, let you know where it's at. Thank you.
