  • LOVE IT CAUSE I GOT ONE LMAO

  • Bmw x5 was success 4x4 but x3 and x6 are rubbish

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Lo_Yf7CiUMQ 1:18 No SUV beats this.

  • nice!

  • cars for A1 prime douche meat heads with more money than sense

  • man its so hard and whats funny is that I have a friend who got a porsche cayenne for a first car and another with a bmw 4.4i for first car and they r both friends as well tried both their cars and im sorry but they're both really good i can't decide!

  • x5 top

  • todo esto me parece muy bien, pero un porsche es un porsche, sin despreciar al x5 pero si comparas las prestaciones y la calidad y el comfort creo ke el porsche gana en las dos ultimas y en prestaciones andan parejos.

  • I think that these are both fantastic vehicles, and that the new Cayenne Turbo is Matched by the new X5 M. I maintain my love for both Manufacturers, but I think the X5 looks a little better, both this version and the modern one. Alternately, I've been in both, and the sound and lurch of the Porsche is unmistakable, while the ride quality in the BMW is astounding. Both marvelous pieces of engineering. Love them both equally.

  • finally someone who makes sense on each vehicles' individuality. how is the x5's ride quality astounding-like not too soft nor sporty?

  • @libetta It's that same sort of bizarre feeling you get in all BMW's, where it doesn't exactly coast over imperfections, but it seems to make work of them just well enough that it's not uncomfortable. I think the BMW's suspension was set up tailored to actual roads, handling well with bumps and potholes, and the Porsche's with a more track-focused set up, at home on smooth-as-glass tarmac. Anybody else have an opinion? As the sportiness-vs.-comfort tradeoff is often extremely subjective.

  • the bmw is never the smoothest on-road but it absorbs bumps and bodyrolls quite excellent without sacrificing smooth ride-is this what you mean? maybe a little less smoother than a benz?

  • this review proves nothing, a porsche cayenne GTS would own any X5 on any track

  • the x5 was customed

porsche cayenne would beat any SUVs out there

  • Porsche Cayenne turbo would change things around.... its the fastest SUV....

  • yes true...but if you say Cayenne Turbo.....i say X5 Le Man....with 700hp

  • The X5 is a demo vehicle with a bunch of upgrade parts and is not for sale. A 9ff Cayenne Turbo is available, has 750hp and would smoke the X5 Le Mans... BMW is not in the same league as Porsche and never will be.

  • Well in 2009 bmw are bringing out a x5 m with over 507hp and 700nm putting the 0 to 62mph time under 5 sec making it faster or just as fast as any cayenne. And being a bmw I am sure that it will go round courners better as well.

  • won't beat the cayenne turbo S

  • the X5 M is available now with twin turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine and 555 bhp... the acceleration is 0 - 100 in 4.7 seconds and 0 - 200 in 16.1 seconds... which will smoke even the cayenne turbo S... any way both cars are brilliant and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages.

  • how do you know that? is that the x6? im writing 5 months later.

  • asshole porsche is porsche you shoud know that

  • no no no, porsche is now a volkswagen hahaha... (VW and porsche are merging)

  • ...And Porsche is a mobile-fish-conserve.....

  • vagelisAstraOrama

    Thats not a production car.

  • the comparison was fair, the X5 won

  • yeah yeah , bmw x5 is an awesome but that would be an piece of cake for cayenne gts turbo :D

  • go away ......... first go and learn how to drive stupid

  • BMW ALL THE WAY!!!!

  • ha. my mom testdrove both of these yesterday

  • bullsit test - i'm disappointed in my hero tiff. 43,000 pounds vs 58,000 pounds?? 340 bhp vs 360 bhp? proper heavyweight offroader vs street car that can occasionally handle snow?

Should have put the Cayenne Turbo on if they wanted a track meet. The price difference between the Turbo and the X5 is the same as between the X5 and Cayenne S.

Except the Turbo would have pulverised the Beemer.

I voted with cash. Porsche all the way...

  • X5 IS A BEAST AND I LOVE IT

  • does not have a pilot? stupid driver

  • wow that drift was sick

  • Should have leveled the playing ground, and compared it to a Porsche Cayenne GTS

  • BMW X5 ftw! :P

  • X5 forever!

  • The Cayenne is actually usable in offroading such as mudrallies here in Holland and is more comparable to the Lexus LX or Range Rover Sport.

SUVs or SAVs like the X5 are better in trackraces due to it's lower weight, lower rideheight.

The X5 4.8i should be compared to the Cayenne GTS.

  • The X5 weighs more actually, and does great off road, with the right tires that is, I'd say the X5 is better that the Cayenne in every way possible, throw twin turbos in the X5 and it would be better than the Cayenne turbo.

  • Yeah, the X5 is pretty good in offroading.

But have you ever seen a Porsche out do an Unimog!! (not joking) on a offroad bike circuit?

I have. And it really amazed me, but I still don't like neither the Cayenne nor the X5.

  • weeee X5 rules :)

  • but the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is not a offroader

  • yeah.....no its not. Don't even think a jeep compares to a BMW

  • The Grand Cherokee has a better 0-60 time and quarter mile time and I was referring to the Porsche not the BMW

  • Indeed it does, and not saying the srt8 is a bad car granted what you get for it with $40,000 is astonishing but 40 grand can only get you so much in a car. The engine alone in the jeep is the only technical marvel, other then that the transmission suffers as well as the stearing

  • waaaaa are you ok ?

  • the jeep srt8 was called M3 killer and after hat was smoked in 1/4 mile by the 335ci wich is slower than M3

  • BMW X5 FTW!!!

  • dgbgbjkgahn, jhfnuhjgj hrnhkgu fhgighuo rfhhr uuj jhir elhehku hfhfh uene dejnjfegd ufgyhhfutyqquj guifjghdshuanjdjncxjde ffjmueuudjfjd dfjdeicjdej cudjdjd djdfnbdnjvekb

  • For me, Porsche is better cross-over, than X5.

I allways - was, and I am a BMW fan, but here..

..anyway :) this is just my opinion.

Both cars are very-very good! We just need to enjoy them, in use. ;)

  • oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about baby. M POWAAAAA!!!!
