  • What an incredibly pristine, desolate land. I'd love to spend a month there in a complete solitude with barely enough food and supplies to last throughout. No medical would make it fairly dangerous, but that's part of the appeal.

  • My parents used to live there. My father still talks about Kamchatka as the best place on earth.

  • @WeirdoWithABeirdo84

Are there are lot of moose there?

  • It should be either Japanese or Chinese.

  • @LuxuryBarrage

No, it should be independent. It has it's own people living there who are not Russian, nor Japanese, nor Chinese. It is populated by the Koryak people.

  • @MiracleKD18 The Koryak people are a tribal people incapable of governing themselves. They have no real connection to each other. The Japanese had small colonies on the peninsula for centuries, and the Chinese (or more accurately Manchus) likely knew about it.

  • I would like to see them go bear hunting without weapons, fucking assholes! :(

  • @hateyall

    They'de die.

  • @MiracleKD18 That's the point ._.'

  • theres a saying, if kamchatka was a country, it would be the greatest country on earth

  • @SuperYamato2010 .. look who's talking you bloody dog!! .. Chinese/Russians are the most intelligent, productive & hard working human beings on the planet!! .. grow a brain and educate yourself before running your mouth bloody idiot!! .. HAA! in 20yrs China will be the biggest superpower in the world, Russia not far behind, while your bloody USA will crumble.

  • George Kennan's Tent Life in Siberia is a fascinating and humorous account of a survey mission to put in a telegraph line across this region in the 1860's. It's surprisingly literate given the author's young age and it's free at Project Gutenberg! Worth the read... if people do that sort of thing anymore...

  • It's amazing to see at 1:43 the volcano's cap blown off.

All that geo-thermal energy should be harnessed

  • It seems every country from USA, China, Russia to the small countries will destroy or abandon culture, environment, historical buildings etc in the name of development, oil, energy fuel etc.

  • in soviet russia, kamchatka ruins YOU!

  • @renano95 lol :D

i just heard from a show that nuclear testings were made, and the NATIVEs who live there are eating the animals which eat from the pollutet grass.. and they get cancer 10% more then people from other countries. Which is slowly making them die.

  • If you wanna hunt bears, you should do it with a sword or spear rather than a gun. That is the only way to do it- its either you or the bear.

  • So does that geologist take tours?

  • Dear Russia, please don't ruin Kamchatka.

  • very pretty ! i want to go there

  • can foreigner travel there?

  • Yes, but not for long.

  • @AdrianVladLazar

    how long?

  • Only 1,250 kilometers.

  • where?

  • Hmm, I think in Russia.

  • Shame this video was made 10 years ago....I wonder how it's changed and would love to see a more current account. I've seen stunning pictures of Kamchatka, it's like no other place on earth!!

  • Unfortunately the valley of the geysers was buried by a massive landslide last year..

  • actually it was 3rd June 2007

  • I thank the Russian government for the enviromental laws in Kamchatka .I hope there will be much beauty remaining when I go and Im willing to pay so keep up with conservation, its so beautiful .

  • @crossbow121 Chineses/russians live like rats and pigs..lack of knowleges/poor/dirty SHITFACES

  • @SlavaSvarogu SLAVS UNITED !!!!

SLOWIANSZCZYZNA OD ODRY PO WLADYWOSTOK !!!

slavs dont mix with asians !!!

  • @SuperYamato2010 Japanese..the most sickhead protectorate island country in the world. No army, you can go to hell with your robotic shit. A nuclearized country, you can die along with the radioactives!! Japan will be history when the BRIC and EU rises. Believe me, dickhead!

  • Great video and wonderful country there.

  • The Russians expanded into the east and conquered many and made allies with some of the indigenous Altaic-Turkic - oriental - peoples just as the USA and Britain and France and Spain did in North and South America with the indigenous Indians or Native Americans.

  • actually the land belongs to northern asian groups. The buryat or evenks. They all are really beautiful people. I am glad that Russia left the land pristine enough to leave the Asian tribes to roam freely on the land.

  • What kind of a limp-dicked sicko would pay $5,000. to kill a bear?

  • @jackinla8 Some european limp dick. That group were european businessmen. Which country that 2 who paid for hunting came from is the golden qtn.

  • @jackinla8 there are some, but locals kill bears without any payments. Nothing is done legally there.

  • @jackinla8 I know..you could always shoot one for free if you really wanted too? Am I right, or what?

  • @jackinla8 Me!

  • @jackinla8

    A limp-dicked sicko, I guess.

  • Thank God the russians kept this land unspoiled.

  • Russia has a GREAT future as long as it doesn't make the same stupid mistakes as the West and import millions of Third World peoples just to make a few men rich. The nature of the people directly affects the nature of the culture - this is an obvious fact. In 100 - 200 years Russia will still be strong - the West will be on its knees (probably facing Mecca). The sheer size of Russia is Her strength - it promises a great future for Her people; much to be developed and much, as you say, preserved.

  • who cares? we'll all be dead by then.

  • Some countries Japan, Korea, and China never stops claiming that they are our relatives, Hunnu relatives, because they don't have oil and land. We will fight along with Russians for our survival

  • Even Mongolian and overall Altai, Syberian culture is totally different from Asian culture. Asian people south from Mongolia have nothing common with us, We are Hunnu people.

  • moelicious416- Kamchatka people have nothong common with koreans. Their language is similiar to Mongol language by 30%. But Mongolian language is totally different from Korean

  • fifi boy, why do clowns like you do this copy and paste little kid shit any way? what do you see amusing in this? quit pulling your cock, get out side and get a life jr. another words, grow the hell up boy!

  • Holycrap I thought this was an opening scene of Lord of the Rings :D

  • Bit of a biased report - makes out all russian officials to be corrupt. Look at the development being made in Kamchatka, or further north in Chukotka by Abramovich and his successor.

This region looks amazing. I really hope to visit some day

  • the original peoples of this region are related to the Koreans. Koreans are said to orginiate from Siberia and central asia.

  • Kamchatka is a really beautiful natural wonder! Long may it be protected!

  • i wouldnt mind living there, seems beautiful, just a place to get away from it all, go fishing, enjoy the scenery, great retirment spot

  • It have -50 in winter, still want to live there?=)))

  • i live in -50 degree weather, i live in northern canada haha so im used to it

  • i hate british and their communism slur

  • For the benefit of all those 'experts' who've felt compelled to comment here on the safety of Russian helicopters, I'll just say this - our armed forces have been operating them for several decades now - Mil Mi8/17, Mi 24, Kamov 25,28,31...and they have been rock-solid, dependable workhorses which have performed well in extremes of weather and altitude..and I should know - I've served in the Indian armed forces

  • This documentry made every attempt to degrade Russia..same old tactics by coloniaist pigs..who looted material wealth of Africa,Asia speaks about exploitation..very sad these pigs still have voice

  • Rofl at Korea always dominated by foreign powers

  • true Korea has been dominated by foreign powers in the past but you are not accurate in saying it's "always" been the case. russia was once a very powerful and independent country, with much glory, but it is slowly on the decline. their pride does not allow foreign penetration and they fight amongst themselves and kill their own. maybe they can follow other examples and allow outside influence or follow other (economic) models in order to survive.

  • 9 years old but still informative and interesting.

  • Kamchatka and it capital Petropavlovsk more buetiful now, sinse Abramovich rule there.

  • Ignorant uneducated fool you should not comment on things have no clue about. These helicopter's are strong and dependable and never had problems

  • Russians were the first to make helicopters whos blades DIDN'T fall off! So you keep your American-built copters my Aussie friend!

  • Could we have this in English as well, please?

  • 3 x (North Korea + South Korea) = Kamchatka

  • My wife's father, his parents, and her siblings were sent to a gulag in Kamchatka in 1940. Her grandfather died here of malnutrition and illness.

  • I've been there in june 1990 and it was wonderful ! Great people and nature

  • Is this area of Russia very close to Korea?

  • North of korea, northwest of japan, its that huge peninsula on the russian side of the bering sea
