I bought "Mio min Mio" on dvd, cause I wanted to hear what his voice sounded like when beeing so young, but when I watched it I got so disappointed! It only had Swedish audio! :S I don't even live in Sweden, I live in Norway, and I wanted to watch the movie with English audio, and Norwegian subtitles.. Not Swedish audio :S Not Christian Bales voice at all :S

@xerxerxex: no, he met her later, in 1999, at a barbecue organized by Wynona Ryder. He was shooting "Mary Mother of Jesus" back then. He once said he married her on impulse, few weeks after meeting her. They eloped to Las Vegas and didn't tell anyone. So romantic!

Best actor right here!!! He reminds me of Robert De Niro because Bale, like De Niro, will do anything for a role. Like when Robert De Niro gained weight for his role as an older, out of shape,retired Jake La Motta in the film raging bull. reminds me of when Bale lost weight for his role as Trevor Reznik in The Machinist. Both are just amazing actors and every actor i think should be devoted to there roles like they are.
