REO is a tribute band now with Kevin......Allen (only original member left) was almost kicked out of the band that he & Allen Gratzer formed but is still there. Playing songs of the ones who contributed (exception being Neil). Neil, kick everybody out and get the ones who made the band great. We miss the old REO!
"157 Riverside Avenue" is a song by REO Speedwagon from their first album, REO Speedwagon, released in 1971. It was written by all five band members at the time, Terry Luttrell, Gary Richrath, Gregg Philbin, Neal Doughty, and Alan Gratzer. The title refers to the Westport, Connecticut address where the band stayed while recording that album (source, wikipedia). How can Kevin even sing this song handed to him on a silver platter?
Don't need to do any research, know the whole story! I just was sayin this was the first time R.E.O. played in Gary's home town after Alan&Gary left the band! Gary let me video-tape his show the Novemeber before this vid was shot! Check some of it out!!!
It amazes me after all these yrs people still think Gary left, when in fact he was kicked out by Cronin. Do a little "research" people.Cronin just wanted people to think Gary left.Kevin "KILLED" REO the day he kicked out Gary!!!
@8850gt just so you know, only one original member still remains in REO, and that's Neil Doughty. He almost got kicked out of the band because of his addictions years ago, and if that had happened, there would literally be 0 members of the original REO still together.
To correct Your VERY Incorrect statement-REO SPEEDWAGON never broke up! This was not a cover band and Bryan Hitt and Dave Amato are still Rockin with REO to this day!
@8850gt as a matter of fact, the band members of reo have changed many times over the years. actually kevin cronin is not the original singer, so in a way he is correct. they've had many changes. and this is not the original band.
I think this concert would be very close 1992, this year REO Speedwagon play four successful Show!!!in Venezuela and all member of REO Speedwagon had the same look can you see in this video!!!
Amazing!!!!!!!, like Don't Let Him Go is the best song to opening a REO Speedwagon Show!!!!!!!, 157 Riverside Avenue is the best song to close a REO Speedwagon Show!!!!!!
If I was Dave Amato, I would've been a little intimidated playing in Gary's hometown, you know? Gary was LOVED, and is STILL LOVED!!!!
