@WJValente Can see your point mostly, except for "being forced to work or you starve." That's not the banks, that's just the universe. Simple fact is that you can't pull food out of a vacuum, you have to grow and harvest it. Or, in our case, find someone who's done it for you and make it worth their time and effort to give you the food they've grown. Animals have to work to get food, plants have to work to make food, it's just a fact of life.

It's sad to see all these sceptics who try either to tell you that zeitgeist is just an "oppinion" or "ideology", either are ignoring it. "Zeitgeist" is a wake up call. It's not making you believe in it, it's making you to THINK. And it's about time to start thinking...
I'll admit i saw this when i was about 15, but looking back on how it "matured" me faster that the average people my age. After i watchec this, almost every report ive seen, or the current "revolutions" in the middle east just seem so transparent to me now. It really is crazy how much its changed my train of thought, people might try and slam this film about its accuracy, but anybody who watches this will not think the same, they just cant.

Life is meaningless without loving other people. We always survived the worst of things together. And we will continue to survive the worst of things together. @dvrckoski73 yah its peter joseph ge uses garage band the world must pack, the loop is something with a guitar, like i thin its a latin tune, he just changes the instrument.....and adds other loops behind, like a simple drum loop. and he uses prolly a higher pitch, adds the same thing, but changes it to a xylophone.... so on

@fonikhkapota yeah i dunno wat the story is with peter joseph's info gathering, ive grown pretty weary of him recently, considering his documentaries are pretty much a long winded promo for the venus project, i agree with him that our government is outdated and is holding us back from our true potential, but whats right for one culture is not necessarily good for all cultures, different values and beliefs and all that, i dont really have a better suggestion but i do have my doubts.

@Mike7upUrs i dont have a prob with his sources, my prob is that he addresses only the problems that the venus project is supposed to fix. i havent heard him address the problem of ego. suppose somebody finds their partner cheating, whats to stop that person from killing or hurting out of jealosy or hate, can that person get weapons? this society of abundance only applies to our material needs, not our individual spiritual needs. how will this society kill ego?

@anyokes Currently, most peoples egos are based entirely on their amount/quality of material possessions and social ranking of said person. In a RBE, an ego is irrelevant. The overall concept of an ego is socially stratifying and counter-productive. In a RBE, you would have still have selected elements of an ego, such as a self image and self esteem obviously, but it wouldn't be based on possessions and such. It would instead depend on your relations with other people, happiness, etc.
@anyokes It doesn't matter if they 'want' the change to take place. They NEED it. Is it ok to let some parts of eastern culture beat their wives to a pulp everyday just because 'they aren't ready for change'? No, it is not. Also, the purpose of this movement is to help people see that they need change, then we will go from there.
@Mike7upUrs i understand what your saying and of course i dont think its ok for eastern culture to beat their wives, (which also happens alot in western "civilisation" too) but if this change is going to take place i think we will have to adopt a new way of thinking, free from ego. reading your comment i feel like you are talking down to me, not the kind of open-mindedness and acceptance of one another that this video is trying to promote, and that the resource based economy relies on.
@anyokes Yes we do have to adopt a new way of thinking. The first step to doing that, however, is recognizing that we need change and then going from there; which is what the movement is about.

@anyokes first of all, this is a more sophisticated view on God and i respect it... but it is one thing saying that there is a force beyond this universe we cant understand (which might be true), and it is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT to say that this force is God as RELIGION depicts it (a human king with super-powers)... and of course your belief is your choice, but when that choice supports someone who comes to affect a LOT of other people in a bad way, then you have to re-evaluate everything...

@anyokes You don't have to disprove the existence of Gods. People have to prove them. You can't prove that Santa Clause doesn't exist. The best you can do is offer an alternative explanation that has evidence (Parents give kids presents) which in the case of atheism is the Big Bang Theory.

@anyokes The Big Bang doesn't disprove God, not at all. It is, however, a far more likely explanation for how we got here. Just like parents giving out presents is far more likely than Santa Clause. Also, atheism is NOT a religion. That is like saying baldness is a hair color. You must prove what you believe is true before you try to say it's the truth for obvious reasons. Especially when that belief is changing your entire way of thinking and, thus, what you do.

I'll admit i saw this when i was about 15, but looking back on how it "matured" me faster that the average people my age. After i watchec this, almost every report ive seen, or the current "revolutions" in the middle east just seem so transparent to me now. It really is crazy how much its changed my train of thought, people might try and slam this film about its accuracy, but anybody who watches this will not think the same, they just cant.

@dvrckoski73 yah its peter joseph ge uses garage band the world must pack, the loop is something with a guitar, like i thin its a latin tune, he just changes the instrument.....and adds other loops behind, like a simple drum loop. and he uses prolly a higher pitch, adds the same thing, but changes it to a xylophone.... so on

@anyokes Currently, most peoples egos are based entirely on their amount/quality of material possessions and social ranking of said person. In a RBE, an ego is irrelevant. The overall concept of an ego is socially stratifying and counter-productive. In a RBE, you would have still have selected elements of an ego, such as a self image and self esteem obviously, but it wouldn't be based on possessions and such. It would instead depend on your relations with other people, happiness, etc.

@anyokes The Big Bang doesn't disprove God, not at all. It is, however, a far more likely explanation for how we got here. Just like parents giving out presents is far more likely than Santa Clause. Also, atheism is NOT a religion. That is like saying baldness is a hair color. You must prove what you believe is true before you try to say it's the truth for obvious reasons. Especially when that belief is changing your entire way of thinking and, thus, what you do.

But true happiness would be possible in a better and just world where I wouldn't have to compete with you or my brother. I just wish people that actually have a large sum of money had the same ideas, but they don't because money corrupts. He who have power is afraid to lose it and that's a fact. I really wish that EVERYBODY saw this movie.
