yes and no. This is the easiest first place to find him because u r already there due to ur quest at the time he starts appearing places.

no its mainly just for fun to my knowledge. if u find a connection then great for u cause ive never heard of one. the only thing ive heard is that he is actually supposed to be in Zants castle in the twilight realm(how he got there i have no idea probably was trying to deliver link a letter as link went through the portal) I havent found him there yet, but if i do ill post a video of it even though it is probably just a rumor anyway as for a side mission challenge yourself to find him completely
