@Eidolin You realise Didem is a very famous dancer in Turkey and all her costumes are custom-built in Istanbul by her personal tailor, meaning unfortunately you cannot buy it online. But try ebay for similar costumes with a lot cheaper make.
turkish dancers have actually a reputation of being very slutty at what they do, which is sad bust mostly true. Search for Noura sultan (i think) und you'll see what i'm talking about. But Didem not- She is THE ONE AND ONLY classy and skilled dancer that Turkey has ever had, besides the legendary Nesrin Topkapi and few other early dancers. Asena was good and something new for that time as well.
@raksmona don't forget sema yildiz she is a awesome dancer, but Didem's costumes are not the typical turkish styles and more egyptian style so it covers a little more lol

@dirtside I must say I have to disagree with you. I'm a bellydancer myself but I still respect the artforms perfromed by others. A lot of exotic dancers work very hard at what they do in the form of seduction using acrobatics. And I'm not talking about an amature strip tease. In my opinion, what they do is art too, but unfortunately the environment the exotic dancers are placed in is usualy disgusting. People need to accept sexuality for what it is: something that is natural and part of life.
the true balance in erotica -dancing ive seen is when a sensual dancer -divides the line between business/personal performances and relationships between fans-clients-friends and lovers -many mistakenly either add to much performance not enough romance/charm -or make the mistake of too much romance/charm not enough performance customers-fans mistake personal relationships with business relationships -for many the difference between love/lust/interest gets mixed with entertainment and act nshow
@dirtside I understand what you mean, but I've always thought that expressing all kinds of feelings like lust (even in bellydance through a little bit of flirtiness that we see in Egyption pop bellydancing, for example) has always been beauttiful to me. I think that's what makes each from of dance, such as bellydance and exotic dancing special in their own way because they do express different feelings and same feelings at different levels of intensity.

But to answer your question: I do like fringy costumes to enhance smaller movements onstage (especialy if it's a stage far way from the audience) so that they can see my accents :-) But crystals are my favorite because of the way the sparkle in a way pulls in the magic of the performance into the dancing.
@AvalonFae i once saw a russian woman in a leotard -body spandex suit -use an accessory of a large crystal/glass sphere -they have this art of dance where they -move arround under a rolling ball without dropping the ball-gracefully and smooth -like a like a magik act -i was verry impressed but never learned the name of the art i have a hobby - i seek circus acts-side shows and freak shows and magik shows and cultural dancing shows -and contortionist shows because its entertaining and addictive

turkish dancers have actually a reputation of being very slutty at what they do, which is sad bust mostly true. Search for Noura sultan (i think) und you'll see what i'm talking about. But Didem not- She is THE ONE AND ONLY classy and skilled dancer that Turkey has ever had, besides the legendary Nesrin Topkapi and few other early dancers. Asena was good and something new for that time as well.

ifeel bad for her -because ive been through wars/accidents-surgeries---after injurys or in her case -elective surgeries -you are never the same after -as for the innocence ---"give the entertainment/fame time to take hold -it will change her -we all get older/wiser/and have regrets that change our character -we are not the same persons after time has effected changes in us -the only thing that survives is personality -this i hope she keeps -she will always be a good dancer to me ........

@gigiontube i have not seen sadie -i will see her later -so far the best dancer i have ever in my life seen was a topless exotic dancer in the caribiean islands -her stage name was"alex"short for alexis she was almost insane about her work - she practiced new routines all the time -"this woman would leave any man -- in a trance"- and cause daydreams and nightmares for months after you would see her shows-they affected your sleep and appetite she was that much of a perfectionist -artist . :}

@dirtside I must say I have to disagree with you. I'm a bellydancer myself but I still respect the artforms perfromed by others. A lot of exotic dancers work very hard at what they do in the form of seduction using acrobatics. And I'm not talking about an amature strip tease. In my opinion, what they do is art too, but unfortunately the environment the exotic dancers are placed in is usualy disgusting. People need to accept sexuality for what it is: something that is natural and part of life.

@dirtside I understand what you mean, but I've always thought that expressing all kinds of feelings like lust (even in bellydance through a little bit of flirtiness that we see in Egyption pop bellydancing, for example) has always been beauttiful to me. I think that's what makes each from of dance, such as bellydance and exotic dancing special in their own way because they do express different feelings and same feelings at different levels of intensity.

But to answer your question: I do like fringy costumes to enhance smaller movements onstage (especialy if it's a stage far way from the audience) so that they can see my accents :-) But crystals are my favorite because of the way the sparkle in a way pulls in the magic of the performance into the dancing.

@AvalonFae i once saw a russian woman in a leotard -body spandex suit -use an accessory of a large crystal/glass sphere -they have this art of dance where they -move arround under a rolling ball without dropping the ball-gracefully and smooth -like a like a magik act -i was verry impressed but never learned the name of the art i have a hobby - i seek circus acts-side shows and freak shows and magik shows and cultural dancing shows -and contortionist shows because its entertaining and addictive

Even if someone is a prostitute, I wouldn't judge them. I'm not God, I don't know their life story, and I don't pretend to be a snob and tell people how they should/ shouldn't be. Look up a national contest winner for an Exotic Dance competition where they ARE judged by their acrobatic skills.
