THIS IS SO COOL! I was so sad when I couldn't find this on itunes... but this is amazing! It's so cool that you could do this with your bassoon. Bassoons are kind of overlooked, aren't they :)
sadly no, this particular piece was never included on any soundtracks. there are several fanmade "unreleased" soundracks floating around youtube but I´ve never been able to find one that contains this music.
in case you manage to find it, let me know, will ya ^^
@Boomkinw00t Hey! I found the music! It was played in the doctor who: a celebration! It's not the original music as we hear in the beggining of this episode, but it's the best that I could find! You'll see that it's almost like the original!!!! I will upload it soon! :)
this is actually pretty amazing, i used to watch the episode just to hear this awesome melody! This is the only piece on music which uses it so thank you!!!!
this episode is probably my favorite and the msic plays definetely a role in that. I was so disappointed it wasn´t included on the soundtrack except for Madame de Pompadour. There is one video here in which the user muted the dialogue so that you can hear the music more clearly maybe you´ll enjoy that one as well

@Boomkinw00t I love this episode and soundtrack more than any other of Doctor Who as its really emotional and the original is so... beautiful ; )

This is excellent, it works really well - including the ticking, actually, given the nature of the scene :)
