  • Now find a way off.

  • Noisy

  • gaming sphere is better

  • Extreme power consummation (for a game device) extreme noise, not really good for run or direction changing and need big place, the price will be really extreme and people with money will find that boring...

Personally i look for another technology, a device for recording every movement on the body in a controlled hypnoses state and simulate of view, sound, touch and maybe able to simulate odors and taste.

With good computer for 3D reality convert for brain data, that will be better than that...

  • This, combined with Playstation move and sony's 3D goggle things, boom.

  • looks expensive *.* If it was possible to make virtual reality gaming for only a few grand I think the intire world would go for it, but all the new technology for that is to expensive for the average joe. D:

  • imagine Call of Duty or Battlefields or Medal of Honor on that with 3D vision!

  • So it's omnidirectional, but you can still only walk in one direction?

  • The guy's looking up, "Uh, how do I get off?"

  • Watch your toes!

  • HOW DO YOU GET OFF????? :O

  • Can you make it louder?

  • Is this a new form of capital punishment? :p

  • this plus kinect! now we can run!

  • Imagine walking towards the end and getting your foot stuck in that thing.

  • @suicidewafflez /watch?v=moq1Dclza90&feature=related they just add a safety rail

  • @suicidewafflez lawsuit!

  • God that's disorientating.

  • Imagine walking on this, wearing stereoscopic screen goggles fitted with a gyroscope (to detect head movement). Arcades will be awesome again!

  • It looks like he's been drinking Buckfast

  • I wonder if this could be the start of a new type of prison cell. You put them on this and they can't get away.

  • This is what is necessary (albeit on a smaller scale) to allow for 3D Games that include headset displays. Therefore you can move and run in your environment.

  • wait 'til COD reaches this and a virtual helmet. YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

  • I'm watching gadget show.

  • too noisy.^^ movie gamer would be in our reach.^^

  • what if you walk in the opposite direction?

  • GET ME OFF OF THIS THING

  • It's full of bees

  • Come on guys, get me off, this isn't fun anymore

  • At the low cost of: $4,000,000,000

  • New Kinect?

  • perfect for virtual reality games

  • my dog would love that!!!!

  • This combined with the iCUBE.... :D

  • poor guy

  • I wonder if there's a pinch hazard there...

  • watch?v=msci440q18s sorry, but they beat ya to it...

  • Just because you can, does not mean you should.

  • is that guy drunk?

  • kinect will only work if it gets one of those

  • How the hell is it going in that direc..... WOAH WOAH WOAH

  • Dude just don't walk too fast, that part in the front seems dangerous

  • wow! thats how I walk when I get a few rounds. lol

  • I think this is the best omni-directional treadmill video so far - I can actually see how it manages to let someone go in both directions.

  • Someone should implement this on an arcade game along with a virtual reality helmet.

  • @colonist067 its funny because I've been thinking of a concept of cod on this along with a virtual reality helmet

  • @HowToGet2011 u mad? Why COD? Why always this crappy game. This game sucks, and so do your consoles, they wont be able to run it anyway, buy a PC, then come back.

  • Can you imagine wearing a helmet displaying your favorite first person shooter game and running around on this thing? Or even your favorite scenario such as walking on the beach, or running in the desert. It would be the ultimate immersion period!

  • Yo dawg, i heard you like tread mills. So we put some tread mills on a treadmill so you can walk while you walk.

  • Its far from perfect, but its a start.

  • I CAN'T GET AWAY! AHH!

  • trapt forever...

  • wait omg i know what do do with this tanks that can move sidways and forwards without turning O.O

  • well i would hak it and make the belts moving ind 2 difrent direktions in a patern and the big belt owuld b rotating and reversing constantly i call it the insail leval it looks like he is on beginer :3

  • JUST GO HIKING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Geek on a leash.

  • Whod of stunk?

  • so how do you get off to stop it?

  • You must strap a person in some kind of armor that is complety unmovable. Or perhaps tightened with bungees. Then his legs could spina big ball. The ball must have some kind of friction. And the character should also be able to kick the ball downwards for jumps. The ball should be strapped to some kind of weight system lifting the ball into his legs with the same force as his exact weight.

  • u still can't go completely parallel to the direction of the decks..

  • y wud u build this?

  • And the point of it is?

  • if this could change surface too depending on the surface in the virtual reality world.... this would be perfect

  • this has such awesome video game potential. but the corners look SO dangerous right now. it really wouldnt be that hard to cover the corner with something, the way trampolines have the springs covered almost.

  • holodeck version 0.00001

  • Yes. Holodeck. I can better imagin if see this video.

  • i can't wait for this to be an add on for cod in the future

  • @Mizan215 lol they wont add this to COD because 90 percent of the people who play it cant even walk more than 10 minutes with out losing their breath

  • that looks like it could kill you like in final destination

  • rofl man this treadmill cracks me up with all the noise and stacking HAHA

  • The cyberspace omni-directional treadmill makes this thing look like a concept design in a rough sketch form. LOL the guy in this video has to put all his body weight into each step just to get that thing to move ROFL. Could you imagine an hour of game play using this thing? ROFL , now that would solve America's child obesity problem fo shizzle!

  • ROFL?

  • watch?v=BQw1tsgrJOs

same technology but with smaller boards. its also less intimidating

  • That one is fake. The whole rig is moving over the floor which is a normal wooden floor. The blue screens are there to fill the camera's field of vision to make the illusion look real.

  • i think theres one even better than this

this seems like u need to follow where the thing is rolling

the other one follows u where u walk

  • can the thing tell how fast you're going rather than just the direction? like if you started running..would it speed up?

  • it doesn't predict where your going, you moving your feet pushes it back so if u 'run' it would push it back faster, it's like standing on a ball, if that makes sense

  • @nothingnothing15 If you built a big and fast enough one of these. You could put an unsuspecting person on there, it would be really funny at first, and then basically torture.

  • @stoddcrew you could just stay in one spot dont move and wait for the treadmill to take you off the edge ;)

  • @RodrigoVanilla93 You do know what omni-directional means? In all directions
