  • The fat handle makes the lift from the ground to the shoulder a significant part of the challenge. This is no record.

  • Not clean lift

  • Is he trying to limbo?

  • Savickas can do this for reps and without leaning back and with no leg drive. Be careful with that word "world".

  • I could have read a newspaper in the length of time it too this guy to find the "groove" to get these dumbells up.

Chuch Ahrens pressed a pair of 225 pounders in 1965. Google up up "Lesser Known Strongmen of the 1950s and 1960s" and read about it.

  • @Weh1921 Ahrens was a beast but how thick were the handles? That is what makes this so hard if he was actually cleaning it.

  • This guys leaning back reminds me of the disbanded Olympic press of the early 1970s where presses of well over 500 were doen yet no one could military 400.

  • 173 x 2 = 346

  • i woulda laughed if he knocked that dude out right after he lifted them

  • Yes they have mark henry and rich just did it sat at sorinex

  • the whole point of these dumbbells was to clean them from the floor then press, and nobody has ever done that yet

  • @RealspitHiphop604 Rich Williams has done it. And I believe Mark Henry was the first to do it in 2002. There is videos of them both doing it on Youtube.

  • @RealspitHiphop604 Agreed. I had some of these specially made at 120 lbs and they are bloody hard to clean. The pressing is not so hard. You need good grip strength to effect the clean. I can't quite get my hand round the dumbell. I'm aiming for 130 next year but at 51 yrs old it's kind of doubtful :)

  • @02Blackbeard wow very impressive, one year older than my father and he's still strong as a ox...INSPIRATIONS for us younger generation!

  • No disrespect to Kaz or anyone else, but Big Rich is a drug free competitor and is the strongest Grip competitor in the history of the world.

  • THAT ISH WAS HARD MY DUDE. GOT THE WAYNE PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. THAT'S MY BOIII!!

  • this is a lot of crap, the hard part of lifting dumbells is the clean, even more so with the inch bumbell, with the thick bar,Bill Kazmaire clend 2 x 165lbs and pressd them 5 times, then 2 x 175lbs and pressd them 1 time it took him 3 atemps to get them to the shoulders,I tryed doing this with them hanging from a squat rack, made it very easy to life much more than I could clean and press.Zavicas or Kaz at he's best could press them like that at least 5-10 times

  • Great lift !!!

    HaHa, filcox. . . . more like feelcocks !

  • needs to clean them but still good

  • In your opinion, what is the harder feat..............to deadlift the "BLOB" with one hand, or to deadlift the Thomas Inch Dumbell off the ground? So if one can do the Thomas Inch, more than likely he can lift the BLOB? Is this correct?

  • That was awesome! Now its time to see someone clean and press both of em at the same time!

  • Wow Man. That is awesome!

  • great job rich ! this was unbeliveable ! wow

  • BIG RICH WHAT IT IS BIG BOI! KEEP DOIN' YOUR THING WE LOVE YOU BRAH!

  • that was insane in the brain!!! nice job congratz

  • Was that even a lockout?
